Efficient staff and so clean room service excellent
Hotel was absolutely great an experience in itself! The rooms were great however we did have to move rooms quite quickly as we were placed near a very noisy lift. Luckily, the staff at the front desk were super helpful and changed us to a better location really quickly. The only negative thing was that our room had quite bad damp near the door so the room may be in need of some work.
Situated centrally to the strip. Bonus was that the big fight was on whilst we were there & managed to get some brilliant photos of a few famous boxers.
The hotel is so big and has so much going on, great bars and the rooms are great.
Great Hotel and being within easy access to the monorail was a bonus
Air con making noises while trying to sleep. Tv would only work for 10 seconds before becomming unwatchable.
Firstly the good parts - the resort itself is great, lots of good facilities, friendly and responsive staff, etc. However, the room is definitely not 'grand' - I have to say the room in the West Wing was utterly disappointing for a major Vegas resort destination. The room was noisy (constant drone of air conditioning units from outside the room - even when room aircon was off), bright at night (green glow from outside with poor light blocking blinds), and miserably dark during the day (room lights dim and poorly located). In addition, the shower cubicle smelled of mould, with a shower that had pathetic water pressure by most usual American standards. One of the panels under the TV fell off revealing a huge amount of dust and grime (which I would have been inhaling). I reported the failure to the hotel but they didn't fix it in the 4 days I was there. All in all, go visit the resort and casino, but don't bother booking a room here. Get one elsewhere for the same price and have a far more comfortable stay.
The room was dirty; old and tired as well as being small; it was like a throwback to the 70's but not in a good way
We've stayed at the MGM 3 times over the years and we used to love it, The last time was 8 years ago, since then the resort fee has increased from $15 to $41 per night and parking is no longer included and is charged at $15 per day. so that's $56 PER NIGHT IN ADDITION to the original booking fee and I don't see what you get for it,. The pool was closed for all of our 9 day stay, the wifi is free, but it's free for non-guests too. They even have pool tables that aren't free. Upon arrival we were dealt with efficiently but very coldly, and upon check out found we'd been overcharged and had to queue for 45mins to get it resolved with no apology. The room was really nice, although out bedsheets were not changed during our 9 night stay. We will never go back.
Location wasn’t good. You need one in the middle of the strip so you can come out and turn left sometimes and right other times. If you go either end of strip, you tend to walk to same points and get fed up and turn around. You then have to take a bus to see other half Hotel rooms in West Wing were dated and in poor condition. Nothing Grand other than size. They make beds daily but only clean occasionally. Twice in a week for us. They don’t replenish limited toiletries either on non cleaning days and happily leave empty containers lying round (we didn’t bin them so it could be seen we needed more but it was ignored). Glasses were left by the lifts (no idea why) but they weren’t moved by any staff for five days, maybe still there as we checked out. Give this hotel a miss. Just visit it and stay elsewhere
