Hotel is very convenient, situated right in the middle of town. I think it has seen better days. The staff were great.

Overpriced
The room was small and outdated and also extremely hot. The window only opened a little bit and they did provide a fab which we had to have on all night. The room cost £153 but is an £80 room Check in was good but checkout slow. Only one member of staff was doing her best but it needed more Breakfast service was very slow It is in a great location

Wont be staying here again.
Noisy inconsiderate guests. Struggled to find staff... ie behind the bar... and had to wait for a receptionist. Room was ok apart from a faulty bed side light. And a faulty plug on another light. Had to wiggle the wire to get it to come on. Not a fan of ordering a double room.... only to find its two singles pushed together with a matress topper... Didnt make breakfast... got fed up of waiting in a queue. Dont know if that was down to lack of staff, poor service... or the other inconsiderate guests just sitting around for no reason at all.... And when i finally did get to check out... the receptionist hardly spoke with me.. didnt even ask if i enjoyed my stay... if she did... the reply would of been NO

Chester trip
Generally hotel was disappointing, room was small, tucked away at back with windows opening onto adjacent building and back yard which wasn`t very appealing. Bathroom was "compact" and definitely in need of upgrade, noisy fan also. Car parking was a nightmare, still haven`t figured out how to get car to front of hotel to off load luggage, we parked in multi storey about 10 minutes walk from hotel. Breakfast was fine, decent choice and staff were friendly and helpful. Starting to feel that when booking through a travel website that hotels puts you in least attractive rooms ours certainly didn`t feel as good as other Macdonalds` we have stayed at. We chose this hotel as it was central but would not go back if returning to Chester, more likely to stay at one of the hotels near the racecourse which is less than 10 minutes walk to the centre and have ample parking on site.
