The staff were fantastic, it just doesn’t say anywhere that there is a nightclub literally at the hotel, was impossible to sleep until after 4am, the hotel itself is lovely, rooms very nice and comfortable it’s just a shame about the clubs!

Very very noisy
Stop over to visit business contact in Wigan. Our room faces the street (laneway) where many people gathered and partied awaiting a nightclub entrance. Noise till 4 am. Couldn’t shut my windows as air conditioner did not work in my room. Requested a fix but it was unsuccessful.

Perfect location, spotlessly clean bedrooms
Ideal place to stay for a city shopping trip as it is right in the centre of Chester. Staff very helpful and bedrooms spotlessly clean although a little dated. The lift was the smallest I have ever been in and felt a little claustrophobic, so used stairs instead. Parked in the multi storey only a few minutes away and you get a small discount on your ticket.

We have stayed here several times before. Unfortunately looking after older relatives time is limited for us to get away. On our arrival our room 119 was allocated the bedroom was clean & presentable but my husband being 6ft 2in & a big man he could just about get in wc. The bath with glass door with shower inside was so difficult to get out of. Anybody less able, older or claustrophobic wound have suffered. Our tea making facilities only had 3 individual milk pots and 2 teabags. Not up to standard. Breakfast was until 10.30am we arrived 9.40am the waitress was busy but pleasant. A coach load had just left. My husband had cereal to start and I requested porridge. We ordered a full English with poached eggs . Our breakfasts arrived before my porridge ordering honey and nuts too. Our breakfasts looked sad they had been cooked a long time before 9.40am My porridge was tasteless ! All the bread was limited for toast ! Our breakfasts came and we did not enjoy them at all. For the extra money it was terrible. Another couple entered the room nobody to greet them and everything looking awful. Fresh melon looked dried up. No butter for toast. Time together and well earned money to pay for weekend was so wasted and disappointing.
