Old hotel, tired infrastructure but a useful base.
Close to town but you need car/bus/taxi!

Terrible!!
I travel a lot, and tend to stay in lots of hotels globally, but it has to be said that this was the worst I have ever stayed in!! It's filthy dirty, far from anything, and the service was shocking! I implore you to look for another if you are heading to New Orleans! My taxi driver also told me that this was, I quote, A Quickie!

On the Up and Up
We had some pretty low expectations about the 1.5/2 star hotel/motel - we'd mentally prepared for something that might result in us checking out before we checked in - previous reviews hadn't been great... But... To our pleasant surprise the hotel, room and service was prefect. We had a large double room and although the bathroom could do with an update, everything was perfectly clean and tidy. This is currently a lower end hotel, you're not going to get gilded taps, but what you will get - for your importantly, very cheap price - is a whole lot of value. You will be needing to get a cab in and out of New Orleans waterfront as the walk is a good 45mins to an hour, but again, it's a minor for a great value hotel. If you're not too fussy and respect great value, then the Midtown is well recommended. Myself and my friend stayed for 5 nights. A final point to make, if you're considering any hotels on the other side of the river, realise that it is a long long way across and the bridge isn't really walkable.

They do not service your room we were there three nights and the first morning only the two towels were changed, I emptied the rubbish. The next day nothing was done and when I went down to see why the girl told me it was because I had Do not disturb sign on, in face it said maid service please. Her supervisor did then come up with clean towels and took the rubbish away. The room did not have an outside window so that was weird. This hotel could be a gold mine if only somebody could put some money into it. Overall it was very shabby but then for the money we were not expecting much..

Old and flithy
One of the worst motels I ever experienced! Everything was old and not working well. Many broken pieces. Lousy service, lousy location (in poor area), spa not working and many more. It was right next to stripper club
