Great place to stay for The Sugar Bowl
Front desk help was amazing! Very friendly and accommodating on every entry and exit from the property. The buffet and made to order breakfast was also delicious!! A short 10-15 minute walk to the French Quarter. Very happy with our stay!!!

Wonderful Staff !!!
Every morning we would come down for breakfast and be greeted by all the very friendly staff. Leaving for the day they would all say have a great day and ask if we needed any information to where we were headed that day. Coming back the same thing. Asking how our day was and where did we go. Did we enjoy. What our plans were for the evening. Very nice to hear. There was one woman, she would always greet us with a hug, coming and going. So comfortable and always feeling good.

Pleasant, with oddities
I'm very pleased overall with my stay. The location is excellent, the room was comfortable, the WiFi was strong, and the complimentary breakfast was spectacular. I cashed in a reward night on this room, though, and I'd have been irked by my room if I paid full price. I understand the hotel itself is undergoing extensive renovations, but my room really seemed like a lowball option for my rewards redemption: My room was 414, and was a piece split off from a section labeled the "Rex Suite." It was not a suite, but a smallish room with 2 beds. The door to the small "Rex Suite" foyer where my room door was had been propped open with a scrap of old carpet to bypass the keycard entry system. That just seems sloppy. That said, the room itself had been renovated, and was quiet. Getting hot water from the shower was a bit of a puzzle. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. But I'd hope for a more normal room setup.

Good 6.0
Bad experience.
Greeted nicely upon arrival. I’ve got 4 mall children with multiple items that need to be unloaded. Check in was quick and friendly. We made our way up to the 6th floor and we hear a sound of a fire alarm. Upon arriving I go to open and the door swings open on its own. We are immediately denied entry and told there is a problem with our room and need to head downstairs to get a new room. By this point We’ve invested 25 minutes trying to get my family settled in order to head down to take advantage of happy hour and I realize we only have 15 minutes of happy hour time left. When we approach the front desk the lady gives me a new set of cards and directs me to a different room. I asked if I was getting upgraded due to the inconveniences and she just laughed a bit. We immediately went to get a drink before happy hour shut down. After my Wife and I had a drink we I headed to the room with the family to Get settled in. We called front desk to request a crib for the babies and waited for over an hour and received nothing. I finally walked downstairs and requested a crib in person which they finally sent. I purchased a snack from the snack bar and upon reaching my room I realize the snack was expired. Then we had no sheets or blankets for the pull out bed. Called those in and received them but blanket was damp. Breakfast in the morning was cut off early. No more coffee available at 9:40am and build to order station was shut down. Truly disappointed with the experience.
