Hotel Rose is perfect getaway
Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. When we asked we received several recommendations for restaurants within walking distance, and followed up on that. Hotel Rose is well situated —close to the waterfront, entrance to Morrison Bridge, the MAX line, bike access, on site parking—in downtown Portland. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

I should say we stayed during the protests and much of the city was shut down all which I knew about before staying.

ok place
The hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. I could not rest well as our room was next to the train station even tho I requested a quiet room. The train was running until 4 am and you could hear the honk everytime it passed by. The location of the hotel was ok in downtown portland. Expect to see homeless people around it too. Also the shower had a Half glass door, therefore everytime we showered the floor would be soaking wet because the other half didnt have a door. Also, if you plan to get a bike from them, make sure to have your own lock as they didnt have any lock so we couldnt really park the bikes and leave them. I would say the price was reasonable for the hotel.

Great ataff
Moving daughter & this was a great base to start. Staff excellent, close to Apartment, off street/safe parking. When in Portland, we stay here

Over priced
Was a clean hotel and bed was comfortable. And staff was polite. Did not like the bathroom. Door was a sliding door and did not provide a lot of privacy. Could hear everything going on in the bathroom. It was ok, but was way over priced! Would have been fine if it was 300-400 but 700 for 3 days for that room was over priced:

So worth it
Perfect location - central to a ton of stuff - and if it wasn’t, it was right around the corner from public transit to get you where you need to go. Staff was super nice and had a ton of recommendations for places to go and things to do. Would definitely stay here again. The rooms aren’t super quiet/soundproof but to me that wasn’t a problem at all. If you like your quiet, it might not be the best place for you. Next time I’m back, I’d stay again
