Not like in the pictures
The good: premises beautiful despite that there is litter all over, including on the beach. Staff at windjammer’s very attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks are good there. The bad: we like to support local enterprises, but this place was just too dirty and the staff had “no” or “idk” as answer to most inquiries. There was no breakfast option except a $10 continental breakfast in the dirtiest dining area I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Garbage all over the beach. The whole place needs a thorough cleaning and the staff needs training - then they would have a great place to offer their guest. Ramen noodles on the bathroom floor when we checked in is not a good start, and it just got worse over they days

Room with a view
Always enjoy coming to Lake Monroe! This is the first time paying to stay in the hotel instead of sleeping on someone's boat. Will definitely stay again to explore more of the things they offer at the actual hotel. (Pool, restaurant, music on the patio)

Bad experience
Very bad experience. First we booked a room with Lake View - at the place we heard that there was a mistake and they had only parking view rooms. (If you don't have a boat, view is the only thing why you would stop there). We chose option to pay at the place, and we end up being charged twice, once at the place and once via Hotels.com. Manager was quite rude. It's been almost 2 weeks and we still haven't receive our refund. There are lots of really nice hotels in Bloomington. Choose one of those better, especially if you are a foreigner.

Check location, no free breakfast, mattress sucks
It was our 26 year Anniversary and we decided to check out The whole Brown County experience qe had heard from others that had been there before. So as always i got on here to see best deal for hotel stay. It read that we qould only be 18 miles from Nashville. Mainly the reason we decided on that area. Come to find out it was actually 29miles.. the first night we got checked in at front desk. We then drove down to door that wss closest to our room. The first smell that hit my nose was musty..old and like carpet all needed.to be ripped out. We got to our room.. it was just ok.. from what we could see. Clean... but unfortunately that mattress was terrible. So uncomfortable and hard. By second and last night there my whole body especially back hurt so bad that my tour through Nashville was slow and painful. This place has a beautiful view of the lake and marinawhich is very convenient if you have the luxury of having a boat you could bring. There was no free breakfast of any kind that usually is included in stays. I heard there was restaurants. On premise. Didn't check out. So took off in search of food at closest town with food. It was a pretty good jot to Bloomington from hotel. We grabbed food and came back to hotel. So basically wasn't thrilled with hotel. Unless you was staying there for use of lake experience location was not for those that want sightseeing, shopping and getting small town feel stay.
