Hotel Zed
Victoria without the stuffy
Stayed at the Hotel Zed for 3 nights while visiting family. although the location isn't picturesque there is plenty to entertain a family including teenagers. The staff are super friendly, the hotel restaurant is excellent and the location is surprisingly quiet at night. We rode borrowed bikes into Victoria along the Goose and were in town in 20 minutes!

Funky and friendly.
Great fun. They lent us a long board to try out and the slide and hot tube were great too. Room was small but perfectly formed and I loved the funky decor. The bed was very comfy too . it is a motel so there is only a car park for a view and its a little way out of Victoria (25min walk) but it was prefect for us as we had a car. Staff very friendly and the free coffee was tasty. Would recommend.

Funky little place
Basically a tarted up motel but in a very clever way with lots of quirks that make it stand out. Kids absolutely loved the place. Staff very friendly. Room nice and comfortable with a separate bedroom for the kids. Everything worked and was of an acceptable standard Only downside would be if the weather had been hotter as with A/C I'm sure the room would have been uncomfortable. Didn't eat but plenty of other people looked to be, especially at Breakfast. Games room went down well and the ability to introduce the girls to typewriters and vinyl records was fun. Pool and slide loved by the kids. Transfer to the centre of Victoria easy, the hotels shuttle great fun or there is there is a very frequent local bus from outside the door if the shuttle is booked up.

Frequent customer
I have stayed several times at Hotel Zed over the past 2 years and will stay again. The location is convenient, parking is free and they have very, very friendly, helpful staff. Some of the nicest staff you are likely to find. BUT and it is a BIG BUT - the rooms are extremely noisy and can be cold. This hotel is on a very, very busy road and the noise starts early around 7 am. Contributing to the noise is the construction of the mall renovations across the street. This will hopefully soon end, but the traffic noise will remain. The windows are single pane and offer zero sound proofing. The door has gaps around it again letting in the cold and noise. This is one area this hotel needs to put money into.

Family Fun!
We had a blast here. The kids loved all of the different activities such as ping pong, wii gaming and the pool. We will be back fore sure.
