Classic, Luxurious, Legendary
The most legendary hotel i have ever stayed in. I stayed in a one bedroom suite which had superb views over Park Ave, feel privileged to have stayed there before it closed. Look forward to coming back in three years time when it opens.

Iconic Hotel
The hotel is stunning and where people say the rooms are a little dated I didn't mind that part as we weren't going expecting ultra modern. The service by all the staff was first class but I was disappointed that the beds weren't as comfortable as I thought they would be and the noise transfer from the next room meant on a night you could hear even low level conversation.

Waldorf Astoria shame its closing
Hotel is stunning, however as it is closing in three months, rooms haven't been updated and it shows, peeling walllaper, dirty grouting and paintwork, etc. But it didn't disappoint and staying at one of the worlds most iconic hotels was wonderful. Great location for everything, restuarants, bars, theatres, shopping, subways. As expected prices for dinning and drinks in hotel at premium prices, however plenty of cheaper options nearby. If first visit to New York take plenty of dollars, can be done on a budget, but would not be the same experience. Would I return to the Hotel, in a New York minute. Shame it's closing

Not worth the money
We were in a suite (10M) and although a good size, the bathroom was tiny with no space for toiletries and not much was provided (no nail file, comb, q-tips etc). The air con units were very poor quality and blinds at curtains were bad. It was noisy from traffic below and the air con. The ice machine on 10th, 11th & 12th floor were not working. Location not good as a long way from Times Square & many other NY landmarks. At £400 per night it is not worth it - sorry but a lot of hype over an outdated hotel that lives off its name. The lobby is nice and reception staff were friendly, but that's it!

Needs refurbishment
Unfortunately the hotel is rather dated and the reception area is the best part of the hotel. The rooms are really really dated and need major refurbishment. We changed rooms 3 times due to air conditioning units outside the Windows. Even after the final room being a suite the noise was still there. We were to tired to raise the issue anymore. I appreciate its NYC but this is internal noise. Even though the management did their best it was not what I was expecting from such an iconic hotel.
