Fantastic hotel!

Comfortable and well located hotel
The room was a bit warm but it was safe to leave the windows open and there was the added bonus of a desk fan which was really handy. Our bed was large and really comfortable and it was good how you were encouraged to take the supplied toiletries home with you. The bar had a good choice of drinks with nice cocktails. Location was ideal for the restaurant we were visiting and not far from Ocean Terminal.

Adequate but wouldn’t return for a third time
The hotel was not as I remembered it from a former visit, I think the decor had changed and was less dramatic more ordinary. Had a standard double which was adequate but nothing to shout about for £118. Had to queue at reception on check in and out ( only one member of staff on duty) staff were efficient but not friendly.

Lovely hotel but the finishing touches disappoint
Absolutely lovely hotel and friendly staff, however we booked a superior room and the room itself was beautiful and large, but the cleaning left a little to be desired and was quite dusty. Also bathroom didn’t match the quality of the actual room. Just small things such as sealant coming off etc and not finished to a high standard. The food in the hotel was outstanding and well worth the price. Local area trying to be up and coming, it’s not quite there to charge the prices they did in the restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel. Great bus route for getting in and out of Edinburgh.
