Step back in time
After spending our 8th Year Anniversary down Wales, we decided to stop off in Blackpool on our way home to watch the Illuminations. Looking for a hotel the Imperial popped up on, and reading the reviews and looking at the pictures decided to book a room for the night. It seems ok when first walking through the door, staff were all pleasant...but after getting our keys for the room, things went down hill. The look of the room, furniture, bathroom, all looked like it had frozen in time from the 1960. The window netting had a lipstick print on and had never seen a washing machine. The bathroom was an bit of a tight squeeze and the single bed headboard on our double bed had us both amused. The whole thing was a bit of disappointment after seeing the pictures online. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good, with plenty of selection for everyone, but I will not be staying here again as there are better places to stay for the price we paid.

The hotel was huge. As can be expected lots of car park spaces except we didn’t get one on arrival as there was a wedding function there. The room was clean. Breakfast was lovely. Only that some of us were too hungry too be patient waiting for a table for 20mins which reduced how much time we had left to consume our breakfast as check out was 11am
