Pleasant hotel and friendly host

A pleasant stay with an attentive host. Very large room but terribly warm with only a small fan but the weather was exceptionally hot . Pool was nice and breakfast was excellent Overall an ok stay but lacks the wow factor for us

Perfect place to stay and relax

What a wonderful place to stay! Unfortunately we only stayed for one night, but would loved to have stayed longer. The room and private terrace were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owner is so helpful and friendly and the complimentary breakfast was divine. I really can't find anything negative to say. Just idyllic.

Exceptional quaint country retreat

On a flying visit to Bergerac, we were looking for a quiet hotel to stay two nights. Luckily we came across La Carreterie. It was ideal for what we required and our host Thierry went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. Really enjoyable breakfast. Hotel has been renovated to a high quality quaint French country style hotel. Look forward to returning

10/10 Exceptional

The room we had was very unique with exposed roof beams, interesting art , decor , and smart new Bathroom facilities . The bed was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with Yoghurt, Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, and Breads with butter and and jams as well as a platter of cold meats and cheese, and a basket of fruit. It was generally served by the most friendly and considerate proprietor who spoke good English and made time to advise us on places to visit etc. The swimming pool and spacious garden were excellent for quiet relaxation and the sun-shading parking gazebo kept the car relatively cool.

Beautiful decorated room with a super comfy big bed. The breakfast every morning is delicious and the owner always open for a chat. Large garden and a small gate at the end to go to the vineyards. A small Nespresso machine in the room would make it perfect! ;) We visited Bergerac, Duras, Eymet and Bordeaux. Beautiful area.
