Nice - nothing special.
This place was comfortable and nice, but not a four star hotel. Room was very basic, small, extremely loud heater kicking on and off constantly, and honestly poor service. Again a perfectly nice hotel but given a fairly low rating given that it resembles an average chain hotel and is not close to providing the service or experience of a four star hotel as claimed.

Comfy bed!
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, all around. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, very clean, and an exceptionally comfy bed. We stayed two nights for a concert at Fenway - the T stop is right around the corner, so getting everywhere was easy. We'd stay again!

I would stay there again definitely!
The hotel is excellent! Good: Quiet and spacious room for business trip. Many stores around there and 5 miniutes walk to convention center. If one likes shopping, it is right there too. House keeping staff was nice and quick for issue solution, such as broken hair dryer and lacking tissue papers. I like the openable windows!!! Advices: 1) A coffee maker in a guest room is nice. Guests have to go downstairs (to a guest kitchen) for hot water. Also microwave would be nice. 2) Front desk staffs need customer training. They were busy chatting and surfing thier phone. But the manager/supervisor (I think he is, a white man) was nice enough. (I was not checked in in their system when I checked in. So the front desk manager/supervisor politely knocked room door and asked me.) 3) Use a secured dispencer for shampoo/conditioner and body soap and quit using individual tiny plastic bottles of amenities 4) It seems that the hotel doesn't care about the environment. Provide recycle bins in a room or public area. Environment is very very important.

Quick Boston Getaway
Nice hotel, but old and the elevators are slow and challenged during busy times. Good location in Back Bay. Cleaning staff were polite and very effective. Front desk staff were helpful. No vending machines and they ran out of bottled water while we were there. Good bar in lobby.
