Very convenient for city centre. Expensive for what it is. Parking £20 overnight. Typical corporate hotel. Slightly dated. Slow, small lifts. Smallish room. Average quality breakfast.

Tower block average
Average. Would not stay here again when there are better more comfortable hotels in this area of the city.

Good hotel in decent location for business
Only stayed for one night and checked in relatively late (11pm) so didn't have any food or drink although this is my second stay here. Good location for York City centre, good parking, clean and tidy and a good size room (superior room). Will definitely stay here again when I'm next working in York.

Much better hotels nearby for half the cost
Bathroom dirty, towels stained, tiny rooms, paper thin walls, way over priced

Terrible. Premier Inn in Future!
Arrived late on Friday night (2210) and spent half an hour trying to check in with the front receptionist not offering any help (Nathan) to me despite showing the actual booking reference and explaining that I had travelled up from Essex to Manchester. Nathan told me that he was leaving in five minutes because his shift was ending, which just came across as not bothered about our “disappeared” booking. After calling I was told that they would contact the hotel to confirm my booking. Gareth came on to the front desk and was able to resolve our problem in five minutes as it turned out Nathan has NOT even searched our booking correctly - untrained staff on a front desk at front of house, basically sums up the beginning of our stay. After getting to our room we discovered it was freezing cold due to two single glazed windows separating us from the elements as well as the room NOT matching the photos advertised online for the “guest room”. The bathroom looking outdated and dirty with what looked like black mould at the bottom of the bath under the slip proof mat and scratches or hair by the drain. What the hotel fails to metion on its site about its “city view rooms” is that you can constantly hear the trams outside the window all night, and our room was located on the 11th floor. Every time you get in the lift you have to scan your key card to access the room, which sounds like a great idea but it never works and you constantly find yourself at the front desk.
