Queen Kapiolani hotel - tired but fighting.
The hotel is a little 'tired', but that should be sorted out when the refurb is done. However, the staff are really helpful and polite and can't do enough to make the stay good. Some menu items not available due to running down stock levels, but not too serious. We had a junior suite with good views and hopefully will get something similar next week. Waikiki area is clean and safe, so I would recommend the Queen Kapiolani and general area for vacation. We are currently visiting Kauai and Maui and then returning to the QK, so it's not that bad!

    Quaint Hotel
Great quiet location opposite the Zoo, greats eats within 2-3 min walk (Lulu's on the corner of Kalakawa Ave) Car Parking is $30 a 24 hour day, but go park at the Waikiki Banyan for $20 a day, or if staying longer than 9 days they do a $180 'Monthly ticket. Its only a 4-5 walk away in flip flops. One small downside, my room keys kept going bad and failing, eventually found out that when you put them by a cell phone it sort of wipes them, so keep then away from phone cases and you will be ok. There is a daily 'resort fee' of $13 which includes wifi, in room safe, room coffee etc. The wifi is stable and fast enough for general use (didn't do any streaming) I'm just looking for flights and booking here again for next year!! This stay was my fourth in the last 10 years, the place has a lot of 'charm'

    Good stay
The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were really friendly especially the bell staff. We were really disappointed that the pool was closed until 5pm everyday, little bit rubbish no one told us either at reception.

    Good 3star Hotel
Super friendly staff! Hotel rooms are a bit outdated, but for a 3star Hotel about what you can expect! It's convenient to have the Expedia office in the same building, so most of the trips can be arranged on site. The beach is also just around the corner.
