About The Queens Hotel

Art Deco hotel in central Leeds

Steps from Leeds Station

A 10-minute walk from Leeds City Museum and 1 minute from the station, this landmark Art Deco hotel captures the grand feel of the City Square it overlooks. An 18-minute walk from The Queens Hotel, the Royal Armouries showcase a fascinating collection of Britain's national arms.

Shops, markets, shows

A 6-minute walk from the hotel, Kirkgate is Europe's oldest indoor market, and Leeds Corn Exchange houses indie retailers in a stunning historic building. The Grand Arcade stocks more unique finds, and you can follow up shopping with a show at The Grand Theatre & Opera House.

Chandeliers, high tea

Art Deco glamour is alive and well in Queens Bar, where you can enjoy cocktails, a meal, or traditional afternoon tea. The Queens Grill has a more contemporary feel, and both restaurants use locally sourced ingredients.

Free Internet

The guestrooms are furnished in pure Art Deco style, and include coffeemakers and flat-screen TVs as well as free Internet. Some rooms feature city views, and superior rooms and suites include extras like free mineral water and mini-fridges.

The Queens Hotel
The Queens is an amazing Hotel, décor is brilliant. Staff very helpful, location perfect. The only down side on this trip, after being at this Hotel quite a few times, is that the Ladies toilet in the bar area was littered with hand towels and there was toilet paper in only once cubicle, which was a bit of a let down.

Great Hotel, Loved it!
Great hotel in a cracking location. Right on the train station, but not disturbed by noise. Beautiful hotel, very well organised, great facilities, and lovely view of the City Square. Reception were helpful in organising taxi, luggage storage, and providing assistance with local knowledge and directions etc. Free WIFI thoughout hotel, good speed. Location is ideal walking distance of many food, drink, shopping and touristy places. We absolutely loved it!

Nice hotel but could do with a few changes
We booked a 2 night stay at the Queens. We were given room 514, but found that the water for the bath was not hot. I called Reception, who sent a maintenance man. He could not resolve this. I asked for a different room, but the hotel was fully booked. We were offered a complimentary breakfast the next morning and to be upgraded to the 8th floor for the following day, which we accepted. Breakfast was OK, but the poached eggs had yolks similar to golf balls - without the dimples! - and these were brought from the kitchen whilst I was stood there. The room on the 8th floor was very nice, with a fridge with complimentary wine, beer and water. We also had use of the Q club, with hot drinks available all day and a "happy hour", between 1800-2000. The beds in both rooms were very comfortable. My main concerns were that the free wi-fi was not protected and that the windows in the rooms we stayed in and on the stairwell were filthy. Certainly something that should be addressed. If we were to stay again, it would only be on the 8th floor.
