Very poor value for money
Hugely disappointing stay as I expected a lot of the Gresham. Over-priced and poor value. First night I was in a tiny unpleasant room on the 3rd floor requiring earplugs (provided in the bathroom, they clearly know this is a problem). This was exacerbated by road-works going on outside for which there was no compensation offered. I was only able to change room after a night of that, and then found a much better room on the 4th floor. So there are probably far better experiences to be had here but it is VARIABLE which is not a great sign of a hotel. It is also one of those unfortunate sites in Dublin which is a hot-spot for busloads of noisy old Americans. Before departing I ate in the restaurant and treated myself to a steak dinner, telling myself that only the rooms are likely to be sub-standard. However every component of the meal was wrong (served well-done not medium, wrong sauce etc etc) which again meant this was terrible value. Sadly the Gresham is over-priced and poor value for money IMHO. It must live largely on its location and the fact it has a nice lobby/tea/coffee area off the main street.

Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel. Had a twin room. My husband thought the beds were very small and his feet were nearly hanging off the end. (He is average size) Breakfast good. Hotel situated in central shopping area. Would recommend and stay again but would book a double room.

Top Notch Accommodation and Location
Excellent quick break and enjoyable accommodation with friendly staff and fellow guests. Location probably the best in Dublin for seeing all the sites.

disappointing, how can checkin take 40 minutes?
This was my third visit to the Gresham but it will be my last. Checking in was unbelievably poor. We arrived at 1.30 and spent over 20 minutes whilst the receptionist checked us in and booked our rooms. We were then asked to come back after 3pm for our keys. On return at 3.15pm a different receptionist began to check us in all over again and didn't seem to have any knowledge of our earlier check in. When we explained that we had already checked in it didn't make any difference and we wasted another 25 minutes being checked in once again. This was in total 45 minutes out a short weekend visit wasted checking in! We had two young children with us who had been up since 5am with us, excited about a visit to Dublin but almost in tears waiting for our rooms.
