A bit disappointed
It was disappointing to not have hot water in the bathtub unless you ran the water for literally 10 minutes. After calling the front desk, the maintenance man arrived several hours later. By that time, the water had run and I was able to shower. Once the hot water got to the third floor there was no problem in the shower. However, the hot water in the sink remained tepid throughout the stay. it was also disappointing that the housekeeping did not arrive till I called the front desk after 2 days. This even after speaking with housekeeping in the hallway outside of my room. There was no breakfast in the facility and there was no sundry available in the hotel. I do expect a little more from a newly built Marriott hotel. The front desk and employees were friendly and polite which is always pleasant while traveling. The restaurants inside the hotel were reasonably priced and the food was very good. Not sure if I would stay here again on my next trip to West Texas.

The place is beautiful. From the light fixtures in the hallways to the great looking pool there is a lot to see. I just got a standard room and it was very spacious. It is in downtown Odessa so there is not much to see but the floor to ceiling windows were a great touch. The entire place was super clear and I definitely had the feeling the people who work there take great pride in what they do. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the restaurant or the pool but they looked very nice and well maintained. If I did have one complaint to make it would be that you need to pay for the Wifi. Given the rates they charge here I had expected it to be included but was shocked when I tried to connect and was asked to pay a fairly high daily rate. Overall it was a great experience and I will make it a point to stay there any time I'm in Odessa.

I do not know why anyone would stay anywhere else in Odessa. Marriott could have made it half as nice and it would still be the best option in town, but it did not cut any corners. The rooms are spacious and well appointed; there are nice outdoor spaces to enjoy, a quality restaurant with indoor/outdoor dining options, and all the standard amenities you would expect in a Marriott. Bonus: there's a Torchy's tacos across the street.
