very kind helpful staff
This was a special visit I'd got for my son, I phoned ahead and told the staff and they were so kind and helpful. We had a bit of confusion over the payment which the staff were really efficient in helping me with. My son was greeted with a slice of birthday cake and happy birthday balloons and petals on his bed, it felt like the staff were going the extra mile to make sure the stay was special. There were other little touches too that made the stay extra special. We are so grateful to the staff for making the stay so amazing. The hotel itself is lovely - as soon as you step into reception it is as if you are in a different world compared to the noisy street outside, it is so plush and quiet and calm. The room also was lovely, well appointed, lovely coffee machine, and again, so quiet and peaceful, you could not hear anything from the street below. Although it is the most I've ever paid for a hotel room I felt it was worth every penny. I highly recommend it as a quiet calm hideaway in the centre of the west end. If you want to spoil yourself in London I think this would be the place.

Poor
Cancelled reservation and terrible experience
Had a terrible time booking this UK business trip through hotels.com, will not book anything through hotels.com again. We booked this hotel (prepaid). We arrived and found out that our reservation was cancelled and they don't have a record of it. Turns out they tried to charge our credit card, it did not go through and no one including hotels.com reached out to us. They tell us that there is a sister property and we won't pay more there and they will add free breakfast. So, they pay for our cab to another hotel, The Montcalm London Marble Arch, 20min away from our original location that was meant to be close to my office. There we find out that we are moved to another hotel right across, The Marble Arch By Montcalm London. The room is on the ground floor, extremely noisy and our neighbor is an opera singer - terrible first night and jet lag. We ask to be moved and they move us to the 2nd floor. The free breakfast they added is subpar, bathroom is extremely small and the rooms are tiny. The hotel staff has been extremely nice as we ask them to fix things but it has always been reactive. Next day we asked for a hairdryer (3 times) and that never showed up. As we leave, they told us that we were not able to find it, it was in the closet somewhere. It would be great if they helped us find it after those 3 calls. Now thanks to the London weather, no hair dryer and walking an hour back and forth to work there everyday, we are back in NYC with fever & flu.

Loved our Piccadilly London West End stay
The staff was very warm and welcoming. hey offered us a glass of prosecco wine or water upon arrival. We were upgraded to a club room since a regular room which we booked was not ready at the time we were supposed to be able to get in. The room we were in was about the size I would expect in London which was ample size for 2 people. The beds were REALLY comfortable. The only change I would make is, in our shower, there was no soap shelf so you had to put your soap, razor and shampoo on the ground so it was a bit frustrating having to reach down to get anything you needed. Having said this, the shower was wonderful with really nice water pressure. Lastly, if you are in London for a birthday stay, they create a birthday setting in the room which is very sweet - some flowers, balloons, and towels in fun shapes. We came to London to see some West End shows so this hotel was perfectly located for us although we will stay here again even if that isn't the primary reason for our visit. The hotel is just a couple blocks from the Piccadilly underground (so a straight shot from Heathrow), Chinatown, Covent Gardens, the National Gallery and the Portrait Gallery and lots of other attractions and numerous restaurants and so much more. We look forward to our next stay at the Piccadilly London West End again.

Fantastic location and service!
This hotel was about $100 less per night than nearby hotels and I'm not sure how the other hotels could have been better. Greeted with a glass of prosecco upon arrival. I was escorted to my room and the amenities were explained including a FREE cell phone that I could use that included data, local and international calls to US at no extra charge. This was a life saver while exploring London as I could use Google Maps as well as access messaging and social media. Room was very clean and modern. Loved the digital panel system to indicate Do Not Disturb or to Please Clean Room. Was great if we wanted to sleep in and the room was always done by the time we returned. Turn down service every night that included chocolates on your pillow leave you feeling very spoiled. Staff was very friendly and attentive. My only complaint was the wifi was fairly weak. I could only get 1-2 bars when in my room, which was almost directly above the lobby where I could get full bars. I would often lose wifi completely and have to move around my small room trying to get reception back. But even with the Wifi issues (which to be fair, I did not bring up to them as I assumed there was nothing they could do), I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

My sister and I essentially stumbled into this hotel after a long day of traveling to London and a harrowing experience with an Airbnb that was not as described, so we were more than a little travel worn and disheveled upon arriving at the hotel. However, the excellent service we received soon turned our moods around - the front desk staff (Sara and a gentleman whose name I didn't catch) was super friendly, offering us glasses of champagne and unexpectedly upgrading us to a two bed room. Check in was quick and painless, and we went up to our room MUCH happier than before. The room itself was lovely - large and impeccably clean and stocked. There was a lot of closet space and the bathroom was so lovely. Because of the hotel's conveniently central location, it did get a bit noisy at night with the partiers outside, but it was actually quieter than we expected and we had a great time. Absolutely loved our time here and would definitely highly recommend!
