Our room was clean and overlooked the canal which was lovely. The rooftop patio wondered lovely views of Venice and was covered except if the breeze exceeded a certain amount. The property has an elevator which goes to Level 2 and we were only a short flight of stairs up to our room. Staff was welcoming and very nice to deal with during our stay.

Good location roughly midway between Rialto and Piazza San Marco, a <1-min. walk from the S. Maria del Giglio vaporetto station, which is served by the #1 line and the orange Alilaguna line -- about 40 min. by vaporetto from the train station and just over an hour from the airport. (I recommend taking the Alilaguna from the airport rather than a group taxi, as the latter will let you off farther away and over a bridge -- challenging with luggage.) We had only 3 issues with the hotel itself, all physical: a flight of stairs to the rooms (but they did help with our luggage), a high-sided bathtub that's challenging to get in and out of, and no electrical outlet on the far side of the bed. The room was clean and well maintained. Buffet breakfasts were good; there are multiple places to eat nearby for lunch and dinner. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a stolpersteine outside the entrance.

Great location. Steps from a water bus stop to the airport and train station and close to everything else. If you are like me and don’t pack body wash, shampoo or conditioner when traveling, just know that there was only body wash in the shower. No big deal, just something to be aware of. This hotel is ideally located 50 metres away from the Santa Maria Del Giglio Waterbus station to / from the airport. Take the Orange Alilaguna waterbus to the Giglio station. Check in was very slow following a large group of women who arrived just before us. We had to wait about 20 minutes to even get to the reception desk and only 1 staff member checking guests in. We were probably just unlucky…….. The hotel is in a great location only a few minutes walk from San Marco (Saint Marks square) and about 15 minutes walk from Rialto bridge. Staff were generally quite helpful and we did use the American bar located within the hotel on one evening which was very quiet and a bit expensive. Breakfast is continental style and only bacon and scrambled egg available as a hot option. Breakfast wasn’t included in our reservation so we had to pay an extra Euro 15 each. Overall our experience was great but Venice is very expensive. Hot tip is try the Irish pub up past the Rialto bridge. Reasonably priced and great staff there.

The hotel is in an excellent location for airport water bus and the water bus to train station. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are a good size with nice décor. Location is great for San Marco and exploring. Breakfast is very good and the bar has a lovely atmosphere. Can highly recommend staying here.
