Le Meredien Hotel well worth a visit
We enjoyed 4 luxurious nights at Le Meridien. It is situated in a very convenient location on Piccadilly it’s close to shopping on Regent, Oxford and many other well known streets. It is within an easy walk to the West End theatres and of course many quality restaurants. We found the breakfasts of a high standard providing a variety of fresh foods, staff are obviously well trained and are very welcoming. The hotel does not have a lounge where we could relax, talk or read. The bar down stairs is small and was very noisy and crowded as a result we went there only once for a nightcap. We visited London earth November which was delightful with Christmas decorations in many shops and lights in the streets. It is quite likely that we stay at Le Meredien Hotel again when we next visit to London.

Good 6.0
Great location, disappointing hotel experience.
We have stayed in this hotel previously, in 2013 and looked forward to a return visit. Foyer a very welcoming experience, but service and standard went downhill from here. We had a Club Room with access to Club Lounge. This was nothing more than coffee and a few crisps left out. In the evening food on offer was of very low standard and seemed to be reheated. The room was very large but extremely tired. Two very small bathrooms with tiles very uneven in one bathroom. This was a trip hazard. Bath stained in alternative bathroom. When we went to breakfast our breakfast was extremely cold and we were told by the waitress that we should have ‘dug down deeper in dishes to get warmer food.’ In the end we were offered alternative food prepared by chef. This was not much warmer but didn’t think it was worth highlighting this again as staff seemed to be busy doing other duties and guests were not their priority. Extremely disappointing and not to the standard of our previous visit over four years ago. And most certainly not close to the high standard of hotels within the chain in other parts of the world. Much better hotels with higher quality also available in London for lower or similar price. Would not recommend.

Location is great. Room sucks.
Location is great. Service is okay and sometimes outright rude. We had a huge group staying there with multiple rooms and suites so we all shared a very similar view. We were there for 8 nights. Front desk on several occasions seemed clueless and rude. Housekeeping was good, but the rooms seemed outdated. When selecting your room, the pictures shown are not what they have. They will tell you not all the rooms are as shown and for us, NONE of them seemed to match their descriptions. The bathrooms were as small as a coat closet, where literally even they did not have enough room to put the towels. Heck, there’s an electrical outlet but no place to put anything. Let’s not forget the fact that there is no hair dryer in this room.

Stay next door if you can
I had booked a Junior Suite with a city view for our 3 nights of stay. With a 8 month old baby, we stay indoors more than outside the hotel so we booked a room with a city view. We checked in and was given room 222. A junior suite with a view of brick walls! I was so disgusted I called the front desk and was told they will look in to in and to stay in our rooms. I went down stairs to the reception and watched the same person I spoke to on the phone checking other people in. I spoke to another guy about having a room with a brick wall view. The lady I had spoken to turned around and said, “I was going to call you back to tell you we have nothing available”. I was so disgusted I demanded another room. They gave us another room, a bigger suite, but nothing like the picture you see on their website. The floors were cracking, old carpet with a smell, one toilet didn’t flush properly. The view from this room 232 was ok. Breakfast was good. Location was great! I would only recommend this hotel if you are willing to pay for an expensive old dirty hotel but stay in a fantastic location.

Good 6.0
Great location but could do with a little tlc
I was in a room overlooking Regent Street on one of the lower floors and it was noisy which is to be expected in Central London but I didn't really get any sleep. The size of the room was large and and the bed and sheets were amazing. Overall the room looked a little tired and the tap in the bathroom was a little temperamental as was the TV remote. All the staff were polite and helpful and I particularly liked the greeting with a little glass of fizz. The Bar was lovely and I particularly liked the close up magic.
