A good stay - just a couple of small points.
Pleasant stay in Lake Tahoe. The location is great for Stateline as it is the last Nevada property and you cross the road into CA. I didn’t like having to use the machine to check in & there was no option of a person unless you were some kind of rewards member. We were presented with an option to forego room service daily for $10 something or other - which we did and never got. We had breakfast included - but had to ask more than one person to find out it was delivered to your room and was a basic fruit bowl, muffin, juice and tea/coffee. It was fine - but not quite what I expected. The Hard Rock Cafe (on site) is particularly good and hasn’t been that busy when I have went (on different trips to Tahoe). Make sure you know there is a daily resort fee added to your room charge (it’s there in the small print) - I always feel it’s something I never feel I get my value for money out of. The room was quite lacking in electricity points. I know this sounds trivial - but in this day - not being able to charge your phone next to your bed is quite unusual. Also no pen and pad in the room. It’s just some things that you come to take for granted as part of staying in a hotel - since most hotels take care of this. That said - Was a good stay all in tho’.

    Convenient and clean hotel
Hotel conveniently located in centre of Tahoe close to shops, bars and restaurants. Heavenly Gondola and Lake was also close by. Casino area was OK. We were upgraded to a corner view room which provided views of mountains and the Lake which was really nice.

    watch out for resort charge
ok hotel and room. it was clean and comfortable but not sound proof. could hear the party going on next door. needed earplugs. convenient for bar and food over the road nice Irish bar. Couldn't work out how to get down to lake front and arrival road/parking was confusing. saw about resort charge on check in but had though like some other hotels only applied if used facilities like wifi or other facilities. but this is mandatory whether you do or don't. very annoying that this wasn't clear up front as we would have used the facilities if we knew we were paying for them! ended up paying not having used. fuming.

Centrally located right on state line of CA and NV
I've been staying at Harvey's since before I was married. My parents and I would stop here on our treks over the Sierra Nevadas to eat at the now long gone buffet on the top floor. After my husband and I eloped, we had our first meal at Harvey's buffet. Our son has never stayed anywhere but Harvey's in his 13 years of life when we come to South Lake Tahoe. So on our trek back home from visiting friends a couple states away, it was a no brainer to stop at Harvey's overnight. We had a king sized bed and as usual, our room was spacious enough for us with a large bathroom that still hosts a bathtub shower combo. We were in the Mountain Tower with a view of the roof of the casino (you want a view? Ask for Lake View.) We got a good night's rest in a room with good air conditioning that was quiet. The room is starting to show its age and will need a little freshening up in a couple of years but we'll see if Harrah's gets around to it. I wasn't thrilled that I had to pay for wi fi for three devices in our room. You're a short walk from Heavenly Village so you can get some good food and shopping there. Take the tunnel from Harvey's (go to Cabo Wabo and keep walking) to Harrah's then up to the street. Harvey's is situated close to Montbleu (which as concerts) and across from Dotty's (a Nevada gaming institution) and down the street from the newish Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
