To Good To Be True
Was told by business owners in the area to stay inside the hotel at night, since the area is frequented by people seeking illegal pharmaceuticals and ladies of the night. Hotel is not as clean and nice as the pictures lead you to believe.

My room was...
Room was bigger than expected. Staff was very friendly. Bed was extremely comfy. Towels were big and soft. Fridge in room came in handy. Room didn't have microwave and coffee maker didn't work...

Convenient and quirky hotel
The hotel location was ideal for my visit to Phoenix and was close to some great restaurants and bars. The hotel was surprisingly quiet for facing a road and light rail. It had a quirky appearance to it with the comic theme. However, I had no one idea who was hotel staff besides the front desk attendant simply because she was sitting behind it; there was no common uniform. When I went up to my room, the door was left open by the dead bolt, there was a hand towel on the floor and the trash can was on the "coffee" counter with trash still in it. There was an odor in the room so I had to open the window which had no screen. The room appeared clean other than those things. I only stayed one night in Phoenix and was really only in the room to sleep so the hotel worked for my visit but I wouldn't want to stay there multiple nights. It appeared that they tried updating the hotel but it still felt and looked like an old hotel with new furniture.

The service staff was amazing! However, the hotel itself looks very run down and there's a constant dirty carpet smell. I don't think my sheet was changed before I checked in so I ended up sleeping on top of everything.

worth the stay if you want to save money
The first room I got was clearly occupied by a heavy smoker the night before, it was so bad I instantly got a migraine. However, when I notified front desk they moved me to another room without any problems and the second one smelled cleaned and fresh. The hotel was great for a one night sleep, it isn't not amazing, but much better than others in the same rating. Shower had a hard time warning up, had to let water run for a while. Overall a good stay, would recommend if you're looking to save money.
