Room was clean, bed comfortable, room could do with some soundproofing. Bathroom needs a little TLC, taps a bit stiff. Excellent food in the restaurant. Good value for money hotel.

Okay if you’re in a pinch
I definitely wouldn’t opt to stay here given a variety of choice - but that wasn’t the case on this trip. We’d left it last minute and it was the only place available. The bedding was clean, and the door was lockable and secure. Lots of nice surface touches like free soap and biscuits, but big problems with soundproofing (bring earplugs for noisy pub goers/people snoring in the rooms adjacent), mould everywhere in the bathroom (ceiling, shelves, tub), and no hot water if any of the other rooms are using it). Felt very much like staying in my nan’s spare room, very dated. Perks are it’s a short walk to the Fairy Falls and there’s free parking if you arrive early enough to grab a spot.

Nice hotel
Nice dog friendly hotel. Helpful & friendly staff. We had a lovely one night stay, some kids were running about on the veranda for a while which was a little loud in the room but we'd forgotten it was the school holidays. A few little things would've made it perfect, like towel hooks on the bathroom door, coat hooks by the door and a more powerful shower but we had a lovely stay. The room & bathroom were clean, tidy and decorated very nicely. Plenty of walks right from the doorstep.

Great stay at reasonable rates
Lovely welcome when checking in, being able to check in early was a bonus. Room was clean, tidy and very warm on a cold day. Room was big enough for a double and a single and our large dog could fit in easily too. The restaurant, pub and sports bar allowed dogs and the food was lovely especially the breakfast. Although the rooms opened out onto the small car park, there was no noise in the evening and so we enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. Will definitely be visiting again.
