Close to the city but in a horrible part of town
The hotel was clean but the rooms could do with a deep clean The staff were friendly The location is great in terms of being close to the city centre but also atrocious due to being in a horrible part of town. If you never grew up in low income areas then it could be very intimidating for you.

Stayed in room 103 above reception and was kept awake from 2am until 5am with the front door constantly slamming as guests returned from night out. This was doubled by being next to the lift and the fire door banging and loud guests but the front door was constant. Rooms were basic but clean. No staff on reception to complain to when we left dispute ringing the bell. It was cheap and you get what you pay for, unfortunately you must need to pay more to actually sleep!

The Gentleman who was the breakfast server on Sun 16th was calm and seemed like he had his system in place. I am not sure if the chef couldn't handle more than 2 orders at once. There were only 5 tables set and it took 15mins to order hot food. This is not a negative, the server took drinks orders immediately but then cam back for food orders later which made think it was due to the kitchen. Check in was great, room was clean and comfortable and parking is easy. If i'm needing a hotel near the stadium again I shall be booking Hotel Balmoral again.
