August Mini Vacation in Grand Rapids
The hotel was nice and close to everything we planned for our mini vacation. The only down side were the double beds instead of queen size beds but we managed it and had a great weekend in Grand Rapids. The Paul McCartney Concert was Awesome!

No Morning Cup Of Joe
This hotel is perfectly located if you are planning a weekend getaway to Grand Rapids. It is within walking distance of just about everywhere we wanted to go. However, location alone doesn't make up for the cost of the rooms. I was expecting more from this hotel than what was offered. There was no coffee pot in the room, so for those of us who require a morning cup of joe as soon as we get up, you will be at a loss at this hotel. The room itself, for it's $250 plus per night rate, was very small. The hot water in the bathroom, both sink and shower, was just a degree above warm; it was disappointing. We are headed back to Grand Rapids this weekend (8/6/16) but we will be staying at the Amway Grand. I'm hoping that by paying approximately the same rate, we will have a much better room. With all that said, the staff at this hotel was very nice and well experienced in their jobs.

Parking is a Pain. The Rest is Dandy.
We stayed on the 7th floor, which was very nice with recently updated room. This was on par as to what I would expect from a Courtyard in regard to offerings. The bed linens were clean, and the comfort so-so. At least for my personal tastes. They have on restaurant, The Bistro, in the hotel beyond their "marketplace". However you have many dining options within walking distance. The wiki kept crapping out in the middle of me do simple things like checking email, and FB, so I am not sure what is going on there, but it happened for my evening and morning (1 night) stay. The food was fair priced for what I expect at these kind of hotels, and the menu selection was decent. There is no free breakfast, so plan accordingly in that regard. I saved the best for last, which is the parking issue. They do not have enough spaces in their lot so for one of our cars we had to do valet at the added cost. If you do not park in the lot, because it is full, or do the valet, you will have to find somewhere else. That is frustrating. We normally stay at the Amway or the J.W. as this hotel is almost always 100% booked when there is a concert since it is kitty corner from the stadium. This time, we thought we would try it. I can't say that this would be our first choice coming back for the next one, as the parking issue is really a pain.

Stay away; too pricey, rooms are old
This hotel was extremely overpriced for what it is. Paid $263 after taxes. For ONE night, on THURSDAY! The room was very outdated - old carpets. The room décor looks bad. The room smelled. The air conditioner thermostat didn't seem to function well; it was either to hot or too cold. During the day, it seemed like it was having difficulty keeping up with the heat. It also made a loud noise when it came on. They also put me in a room that had a connecting door to the room adjacent to mine. Every time the neighbors went out of their room, the connecting doors shook back and forth and made noise. They were also so thin I could hear everything about the neighbors. I really hope the upgrade at the hotel has thicker connecting doors and fixes that issue. In addition, the water pipes are so loud. If your neighbor (upstairs, downstairs, or next door) uses the water, you will be awakened. The sheets seemed comfortable and clean enough. I am happy that I stayed only one night. At the rate I paid, the hotel should be ashamed of the price they charged. During the updating/upgrades to make the hotel nicer, they should be kind to the customers putting up with the renovations and offer the rooms at cheaper rates. That would be not only the professional thing to do, but also the right thing to do. I told the attendant about my experience at checkout, and he seemed to care, slightly, but he didn't do anything about it.
