Disappointing stay
The staff were friendly and welcoming. The photos online are deceptive. The foyer and restaurant look great but the bedroom and bathroom were a bit shabby. The hallway down to the bedroom smelt of smoke on the first evening. The door to the bedroom looked worn/damaged. While inside the bathroom, there was a constant sound of running water on the first night. As though the shower above was continuously running. The restaurant menu was disappointing, there weren't many options. The prices for food and drinks were higher than anywhere we visited in the city centre. The service in the restaurant was sub par as the waitress had to be told to clear the plates away by the manager. My Fiance's food arrived about 10 minutes after my own. There isn't a big selection of spirits on the drinks menu and the Gin I originally chose wasn't in stock. After checking in, we asked the reception staff if they could recommend a company which provided tours of Ghent and Bruges. They were unable to do so. Most hotels usually provide recommendations of activities to do or sights to see.

Okay stay
Overall good stay, and walk to the tram stop was convenient and efficient. Hotel is however in a questionable area so a bit out of place for a 4* hotel. I was rushed by housekeeping on two mornings, one being day of checkout nearly an hour prior. And the water was scorching whilst also taking 5+ minutes to get just warm.

Amazing Stay
We had a great stay at the hotel over the weekend. I had used our stay in Brussels as my chance to get down on one knee and propose. I emailed the hotel looking assistance with setting a few things up in the room for our return. They were super helpful, organised everything I requested and were supportive from the moment we checked in. They informed us of how to get around the area when checking in which was really helpful. Jelena was amazing and even checked up on us after the big day to make sure we were happy with everything. I can’t recommend the hotel enough. Breakfast was great and rooms were really clean. Thanks for everything 🙂
