Great location, poorly designed rooms
This hotel is in a great area, bus stop right at end of street and tube a couple blocks away. Museums in your backyard! The hotel is very clean and attractive, and extremely quiet. But the room was designed by someone who hasn't actually stayed in a hotel room. The bathroom is beautiful, with both a shower stall and bathtub. But the tradeoff is that there is no hall closet - that's where the shower is now. If you need to hang a coat, store shoes, etc., there's no space. There is a teensy closet squeezed by the bed, but it only fits the two robes and you can only open the door halfway because the door is blocked by the bed. So good luck finding space to hang any coats or clothes during your stay. It would be great if they put another piece of furniture, say under the tv - with drawers so that we could store clothes and things during the stay. Also, there is a full length window between the shower stall and room, so if someone has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night - bam - the whole bedroom is lit up and wakes up the other person. Also, you can also see person in the shower. While Monica was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, but most of the other people at the front desk didn't have basic knowledge of the city - e.g.,, Oyster cards, theater tickets - so we relied on Google for information, not the front desk.

Great stay!
Three of us stayed in a two bedroom apartment in the annex across the street from the main building, consequently we did not spend any time in the main hotel, except for check in and out, during which the hotel staff was very helpful. The apartment was quite lovely, very comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. It looks like a recent renovation. It even came with daily maid service, which I wasn't expecting (nice surprise!). The bathroom is a bit cramped and there isn't much space to hang more than one towel, but since we received fresh ones daily, it did not matter much after all. The second bedroom is rather small and would be a bit tight for two people. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer. It could use a few kitchen towels and dish cloth, but again, since there was daily maid service it did not matter much; I just felt really bad leaving dirty dishes in the sink. The area is very pleasant and safe. The hotel is a few minutes walk from South Kensington tube station (Piccadilly line, goes west to Heathrow and east to city center), major museums and Kensington gardens, Harrod's is about 15 mins walk. There are also a variety of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Overall a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely return!

Very good 8.0
Great location
We stayed in the Squint penthouse for a birthday stay, we were attending a concert at the Albert hall so it was a convenient short walk. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We both slept well and enjoyed our stay but the room was a little disappointing if i’m honest, especially given the price. Pros; Good amount of floor space Large comfy bed Comfy bed linen Large balcony you can eat/drink on Near to lots of tourist spots and eateries like museums and Royal Albert hall Friendly helpful staff Coffee machine Robes and slippers Quirky lobby decor Cons; The room decor has become a little tatty. The fabric covering the furniture has split, stained and missing door knobs (I reattached two) And just isn’t a great look. I’d remove the fabric covering the units and leave them grey. Or consider redoing the room scheme altogether as it could be fantastic. Fabric covered chandeliers were missing bits and just looked a bit sad and had stains on. Dirty voile curtains, possibly sprayed with cleaner but left splatterings. Fabric rose petals put on our bed looked pretty but smelt like fish sauce...! They were binned. Please don’t use these as they’ve been contaminated with something hideous. Overall the hotel is in a great location and is quirky but the room decor just doesn’t work. It’s trying but the quality lets it down. Staff were great. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on food.

Poor 2.0
Horrible stay and very rude staff
Horrible attitude of the receptionist. Kept me waiting for several minutes. Was advised it was the wrong sized bed compared to what was booked. When asked to correct it was given all sorts of excuses which didn’t make any sense like their double was the same as a king and a king was a queen. I was in the end asked to pay £30 extra to get a room that I had already paid for. Horrible. The receptionist whose name was Yasmin was extremely rude whereas the trainee next to her did try to rectify things but was overpowered by his colleague. And to top it all up the aircon wasn’t workjng all night. When I called reception I was told they would send an engineer at 3:30 and bot offer to change the room. Avoid!!!

Drop Dead Gorgeous Suite- A MUST TRY
I had a fantastic stay. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to veer off the beat and path of your typical tourist and/or chain hotel. I would also recommend to get the best benefit to stay in one of the suites. I stayed in 002 and it was fabulous. Zita is an absolute gem! She was there to assist me with anything I needed. There was another gentlemen (older) there as well that was fabulous! The room, for the most part, was great! I only have a couple of recommendations 1. The bath could use more shelves to put your toiletries on 2. They should ask the guest what temperature they want the water to be in the spa pool 3. Maybe think about turning on the jets for a jacuzzi experience 4. Add a shelf in the shower to put your toiletries. 4. The service in the dining room could be improved. Overall, a fab stay and I would definitely return
