Hotel Claude Bernard Saint Germain, Paris

Great bed, and very nice with Nespresso in the room. The quality was lower that what i expected to the price.

The hotel is in a great location, but the room was very small. The room was dimly lit as one of the lamps wasn't working and even though we reported it the first day it was not fixed when we left 4 days later. I chose this hotel, because it had it's own car park, but I was told on arrival that it wasn't available and so had to find parking elsewhere. Although our visit was in April, there was a heatwave (25 degrees), but the air conditioning in the room didn't work and when I asked I was told that it's only switched on in the summer. All in all we had a good time and although the staff were helpful, it was all a bit disappointing. The listing showed parking and air conditioning and should be amended accordingly

Hotel is located in a good area of Paris near to a couple of Metro stops and Notre Dam. On arrial reception staff were very welcoming, room was clean and had coffee facitilites in it which is a bonus for Paris. Breakfast was ok but probably not worth the cost if you have time to eat elsewhere. Good bars and restaurants nearby. Would stay here again.

I was charged extra taxes as I checked out - even though I prepaid through hotels.com. Not sure if that is a Paris / France thing or a hotel thing, or a hotels.com thing.

The quality of the breakfast can be improved.
