Hotel Colón Barcelona

Lovely hotel for weekend break. Would have liked a view over the cathedral at the front of the hotel, but we hardly spent any time in room so lack of view in the back rooms didn't matter too much. Lovely roof top terrace and great location for getting around.

Great location and very clean throughout the hotel. Breakfast had a wide choice and high standard of food. Roof terrace is excellent, great views and staff very attentive. However it’s open to non guests and busy. Guests can’t book a table there either. The hotel did not receive notification of member status (not their fault) but I had to make callsto rectify and get the early check in. Food one evening on the outside terrace was not great didn’t try it after that. Room was booked with a double bed but was given two singles made up as separate beds. Initially offered a downgraded room with a double! Resolved day 2 but I expect better from a 4* hotel.

Lovely hotel. We had room with terrace overlooking cathedral which was perfect. Location is ideal for exploring Barcelona

I was in Barcelona to run the marathon and chose to stay in this hotel as it was fairly central to everything we wanted to see and do, it was only a 30 minute walk to the start of the marathon which was great. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, lovely staff, clean comfortable rooms and very quiet in the evenings with no street noise

Great central location for exploring the marvellous city of Barcelona. We paid for a superior room and it was excellent, very spacious, huge bed, huge walk-in shower, and a lot of effort into the lighting. Brilliant views from rooftop terrace. Only issues were not being told until last day (of four) that other options could be cooked for us at breakfast. Also, cooked breakfast items that were there were not consistent in standard during our stay, on two days it was poor. Overall though, would definitely stay here again and will be recommending Hotel Colon to anyone visiting Barcelona
