The room was not what we were expecting after looking at the website!! Fire exit sign had a green light which shone through to a glass cabinet which reflected into the bed area, kept me awake! The shower was awful, the water seeped through the shower curtain and soaked the floor!! The toilet was small and compact so I could not shut the door. Plug sockets were in random places so we had the kettle on the floor, its a good job we had longer charging cables otherwise our phones would have been on the floor as well!! The bed was 2 large singles, which were together by a bedsheet so it wasn't good trying to cuddle up!! Reception did offer me another room but it was exactly the same as the room we had, so declined.

Poor 2.0
Average hotel with no customer service and rude st
Totally inflexible hotel. I booked this hotel last September for accommodation for a conference that my company was to have in April. First they raised the price because I was booking more than 2 rooms, it qualified as a group booking. Not a good start. Why do they have to do that? However, it was close to the conference venue, so I let it ride. Due to the content of the conference I was organising and the advent of Brexit, the conference had to be moved to September. I looked up the room prices for September and they were considerably lower than I paid for for the April rooms. The booking was not-refundable so I rang to change the dates of the rooms emphasising that I was not expecting any reduction - just to change the dates. I asked for this in January. They would not move them. they stated that they could not offer the same rate. I pointed out that the rates were different and I was ok with taking the extra charge. No movement at all. I tried several times but I just kept on coming up with the same brick wall. In the end my colleague decided to have a leisure day in London and took keys for all the rooms. He was not impressed with the service, the rooms or the staff. We will NEVER book this hopeless hotel again or indeed any in the chain, and would certainly never recommend them.

A welcoming haven
Excellent location in Central London. Staff were attentive and helpful. Building works were ongoing but these are well managed and did not detract from my stay. The upgraded rooms are lovely which bodes well for the future.

Disappointed with staff attitude
Good location but the room is so noisy from water pipes all night, can’t sleep. Receptionist called Sarah, she is so grumpy and rude,we’re arrived at the hotel at 22.30 pm and we want to book a taxi for next day morning to the Embassy at 8.15 am and she told us that her taxi company is closed now at 22.30pm and told us to come back again tomorrow morning after breakfast to book a taxi!?? She worry about her commission from her taxi company rather than customer service! Very disappointed and disgusting from her attitude, I’ve told her that I cannot believe that in the city of London you knows only one taxi company!!?? I’ve told her that I’m going to complaint and she managed to phoned the taxi company for us straight away.
