Aldrovandi Villa Borghese

Lovely, old fashioned hotel. Friendly service. Lovely pool. Great food. And all within 10 minutes drive of the centre of Rome.

First of all before arriving I called a person from the hotel to ask an early check in because my flight arrived at 10. The person of the phone very nicely told me very clearly that I can come anytime starting 11:00 am my room will be ready. I arrived at 11:50 at the hotel nothing was prepared they told me I should wait 1:30 hour for the room to be ready. They didn't propose me anything else than go change in the SPA LOCKER ROOM and a coffee. The hotel and specially my room are not luxurious. The bed was not comfortable, the shower joint was hanging, the room was not specially clean but overall inside the hotel too the place don't feel 5 stars luxurious level the paint is not fresh, same carpet and all inside. The garden and pool look nice but same it's not a luxurious level it has just some charm like villa house but it's not a palace. The pool was full of tree twigs each time I went (early morning or end of day) The location is very nice outside Villa Borghese 25mn from spanish steps Two time someone from the hotel opened my door without knocking on the door. And the worst one day I came back late I wanted to seat at the pool someone from the hotel talked to me very aggressively asking me my room number without saying hello or anything multiple time. I asked for the manager to come back to me nobody came back to me. Breakfast was ok same not luxurious just ok. I do not advise this hotel it's very expensive but it does not feel like a palace

Very good service, great bar and would love to return in summer for the outdoor pool . The shuttle service was very helpful

We loved our stay thank you. We had a week and enjoyed a mix of sight-seeing and relaxing by your pool in the sunshine. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms comfortable and clean and the little extra treats delivered by the restaurant to our room were wonderful. The only negatives were the prices of drinks and food in the hotel, and the mosquitoes everywhere... we were all bitten daily.
