They're usually at breakfast when it first opens, so it's a good idea to wait at least a half hour before going into the breakfast room. Keeping in mind that this is an older hotel at the start of tourist season, we were very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. The price was high, but comparable to similar hotels in the Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Jackson Hole area. Debbie at the front desk was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. She went out of her way to help us secure a room within the hotel chain even though there was virtually no vacancy. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent, and her kindness to two weary travelers was deeply appreciated.

Room was good, breakfast was great. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because there was big mix up and they booked the same room as another person just because we had the same last name. I ended opening a door to someone else’s room. It was very scary for both of us!! The lady in the front said she would give us a discount but couldn’t because I booked through a 3rd party and then wanted me to wait longer until they figure out the mix up and it was already 10pm and we hadn’t eaten….

Overall the property was clean but a little dated. The staff were helpful and friendly. The light fixture in our room didn’t work properly so I advised the front desk. It offered a free breakfast with a wide selection of food. This was a nice offer so we didn’t need to go to a restautant. It is located at the edge of town so not walkable to downtown. West Yellowstone is a 1/2 mile to the west Yellowstone entrance and this hotel had many more amenities than park properties at about half the price!
