Nice hotel
The hotel is very nice overall. The staff were very pleasant. I did however feel like it is aimed at business men and as a 24 year old female on a business trip I didn't feel entirely comfortable. The room was a nice size and the bathroom had a bath. The bed sheets were a bit hard and itchy though.

My stay
The room I was in was needing updated, showed it’s age, as does the hotel in general

Sub standard not worth the money
Old hotel, dimly lit to hide the condition, room condition was poor with pealing paint and plaster, dusty tables, but bedding was clean. It was Halloween but the hotel reminded me of an old hotel from the film Ghostbusters. Room was in a Noisy location, lots of noise from the outside even though it was double glazed, opposite lift so lots of noise and people congregating. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, sink had a crack and chips, a fixed large shower head over a bath. Room carpet was dusty and mucky and tired. Breakfast was self service and only Luke warm and we had arrived at 7.30am when it opened. As we checked out we asked how to pay for parking as they chap printed off the receipt, his response was I will do one thing at a time ‘nice’ comment. Would not stay here again.

Scottish charm with amazing service
Amazing hotel, lots of charm, great service, good breakfast. Everything I was expeting and more I ill definitely stay there next time I am in Glasgow. The only downside is that the champagne bar is so popular it is very difficult to get a seat !

Grand Central Hotel
Amazing from start to finish. My only negative point would be that there was not a mini fridge in the room. My medication needed to be kept cool so had to improvise
