A good stay at the Lombardy
Had a lovely 5 night stay at the Lombardy Hotel, in a good location, quiet by New York standards on an evening, all the staff were welcoming, breakfast was adequate, always nice not have to leave the hotel to get it, our room was spacious, bed very comfy, there was noise from the lift but it was quiet through the night so didn’t affect our sleep, would definite stay again.

Exceptional 10.0
Staff were amazing and went the extra mile to make our trip perfect. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the cleaners could not be more friendly. Extra towels and our sofa bed was set up straight away when requested. The food at the hotel was excellent quality.

Very good 8.0
Not what I had hoped it would be
Hotel was in a good place, friendly staff and spacious room. However the service left slot to be desired. I was not made to feel welcome or supported throughout my stay. For three days they never replenished the toiletries and any small question I had for the front desk from breakfast info, to check out, to enquiring about a delivery was met with a lukewarm response bordering on disinterest. This hotel was recommended to me by some wealthy friends and I stay in five star hotels often. There is a reason this isn’t one of them. It’s such a shame because I was hoping this would be a new place to return to but hotels must remember the devil is in the details.

Not quite like the brochure!
Felt very uncomfortable about workmen on scaffolding right outside our room. Had blinds down all day for privacy and it was very noisy. The windows were covered in some kind of polythene and looked horrible. When we complained we were offered another room to the front but we didn't think the noise from the building work on the other side of the street was worth the inconvenience of moving. Heard that this has been going on for about a year and does not look like it will be sorted soon Prospective clients should know this.
