Do Not Stay Here
Do not stay here. This review and all the others that warn you away from this property are true. This is an older hotel. One doesn’t expect it to be so run down and neglected though. The carpet is old and worn, the walls have peeling wall board, there are no coffee makers in the rooms, no room service and there isn’t even a clock in the room. We had to request that the room be serviced. We spoke to the cleaning staff about this and it never got done. We tried calling housekeeping and no one answered the phone. We called the front desk and no one answered. When we voiced our concerns to the staff all we got were excuses. Short staffed, the hotel was recently purchased and no one wants to put money into a rundown hotel were the responses we got. Not helpful at all. They also didn’t care that I would be leaving a 1 star review.

I had the worst stay ever. The water stopped running due to maintenance, which we weren’t noticed about in advance and the cleanliness of the floors, couch, windows were awful. The staff seemed untrained and I felt that they didn’t care about hospitality at all. Some random people kept on putting flyers under our door when we were out, security is bad as well. Overall, the stay was worst than I expected. Pay a little more for a comfortable and safe stay!

Rio is not what it used to be, could do better
Have a friendly staff. The room was spacious, and the view was nice. Unfortunately, the room was very dirty and outdated. I complained to the manager. The manager did not want to see the pictures of the uncleanliness (trash, food in fridge, plugged sink). He said I quote…”I believe you, what do you want me to do, compensate you?” The manager Michael promised to refund resort fees. I was never compensated. I did not receive a checkout receipt because the system was down. Day manager wrote every guest’s name on a piece of paper that was checking out.

I git to hotel at 1130 pm and didn't get checked in until 330 am got up to room and discovered that the whole tower i was in did not jave running water so i had tk use the hotel lobby restroom . They did move me the next day .
