Sketchy surroundings
Customer service is mediocre, most of the receptionists basically just tell you what you want to hear and not necessarily give you reliable information. We weren't going to leave our pet locked up the whole day while we were at six flags so we explained this and asked for times when maintenance and housekeeping will be by and were given times, but they never showed up at those times or close to them. Ended up fixing a clogged drain with improvised tools and doing our own housekeeping the majority of the days we were there, missing time we could have been at the theme park or otherwise enjoying our vacation. Staff were not even aware of the veteran reserved parking spot on their own hotel/didn't care to verify who parks in it. Beds are worn and uncomfortable. Breakfast is the same daily, they don't refill the coffee or water often enough to handle the amount of people, and it does not get refilled after breakfast, I tried to grab a cup the night I drove in and the coffee was cold from sitting out there since the morning. The immediate area around the hotel is ghetto, and sketchy to walk around with a family. Driving the surroundings is a pain because of road repairs, construction and typical texas drivers. The hotel's only real redeeming quality is the fact that it is 'technically' within walking distance of six flags, but that means walking through the back of an abandoned building and jaywalk across 4 lanes of traffic, they do offer a shuttle but you have to "schedule" it.

Ok Stay, lots of construction
Overall OK; on the outside, the hotel is beautiful, right off Hwy 360 & Six Flags Drive, however, all the construction adds extra headaches to an already busy area. The breakfast was ok; the eggs were runny and liquidy, the sausage was rubbery. Ended up eating the muffins, fruit and waffles most mornings (not too bad). The pool was not clean - it needed to be skimmed with all the bugs, leaves, and trash (staff did nothing). Be careful when parking your car or taking your pet for a walk; there are SO many fire ants nesting around the building - my husband accidentally stepped in a pile and was eaten up - 30 bites just on one leg! Our last two days the cleaning/housekeeping staff did not bring towels or clean the room. It was not messy as it was just two of us, but the beds were not made and trash not taken out. When we asked for them to have our room completed first they said that they would get to it when they could, even though we were one of the rooms closest to the lobby. The last night was stressful with so many people partying until early morning. The noise was so loud on the first floor that we did not fall asleep until after 3 a.m., and we had to be out of the hotel by 6 a.m. When we called and talked with the front desk they apologized but that was it. When we spoke with the front desk that morning, they half-heartedly apologized, saying that all the out-of-town fans were excited. Best part: the shuttles service within 5 miles, sign up first!

Exceptional 10.0
Exceptional stay in Arlington
The location of the hotel is what attracted us first. We were attending the Draft at AT&T and Rangers games, so close proximity to both stadiums was our priority. From the get go Bill & his staff couldn’t have been more helpful or nicer. I don’t normally leave feedback for hotel management or staff but these guys are exceptional. The hotel was super busy because of Rangers games & the Draft but there was never A time when the front desk staff didn’t say hi or ask if we needed anything. A few real positives for me. 1. The hotel runs a shuttle to Globe Life Park and AT&T which is free and frequent. Saves $20 parking each time. 2.breakfast is free and has a few options. We were able to load up each day before heading out. It’s basic but way ahead of other chains in terms of choice. 3.it is a new hotel, very clean and has all the amenities you would expect if a higher star rating. Our room was huge and ideal for trekking back and forward to the draft all week. It is also right on the freeway which is really handy. Our stay here was exceptional and thanks goes to Bill & the team. You are awesome!

I wish I could say this Laquita stay was as good as other ones, but sadly it wasn’t. We went to Dallas for the Toby MAC concert and it was one thing after another with our one night stay. We called @2pm on the drive from San Antonio to check in and reserve our room but the lady on the phone said we couldn’t. Then we get to the hotel after the concert and they’ve given away the room we booked (& needed for our 6 person family) of course we didn’t find this out until we went up to our room to find it was missing a pull out couch... then headed back down to the desk with bags and kids I. Tow. Ask for the correct room, which is not available and were offered a king bed and pull out couch with a roll away bed added. Not exactly what we were hoping for. So up to the new room only to find out the key isn’t working. Back down with kids and bags. Then back up with “the right key”. Finally get into the room to find no roll away bed and no bedding for the pull out couch. We move over couch and find crayons and crumbs. Clearly the maids don’t vacuum well. Back down for bedding. Then back up and yet another key that isn’t working. Finally @2am, sleep is in sight! We call down asking for late check out and they give us an extra hour. The next morning we find we don’t have enough towels and ask for more while at breakfast that promptly closes! Back up with towels in tow and stop by the front desk to check on late check out... it’s not noted but they will do so now. Ugh! Glad I made sure!

Loud and chaotic
I don’t know what I expected booking a hotel across the street from six flags but it was loud and chaotic. This is the first time in many different hotel stays that we could not eat the provided breakfast because it was completely packed down there and everything was a mess. The layout of the breakfast area made this worse as it had tiny little areas with the food that did not accommodate very many people. The room was clean and we slept well but there was some yelling in the halls and barking dogs and running down the halls. The staff seemed nice but we did witness a kid ask an older lady in housekeeping where the ice machine was and she told him I don’t know and walked away. So it’s clean and we slept fine but I guess if you’re going to book a hotel across the street from Six Flags you should expect total chaos all evening and in the morning. The proximity to Six Flags was nice but not worth the craziness. You want to be able to relax and actually eat the provided breakfast since that’s one of the reasons we chose this hotel but we weren’t able to. We’ll choose a different hotel next time.
