Great hotel, if only the beds were a bit comfier
I really wanted to love the Oliver Plaza but for me there was one thing that just keeps it off getting full marks. The location is great for Earls Court, 2 minutes walk from the tube station and loads of great pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself has obviously had a recent refurbishment, everything looked brand new, very well decorated and immaculately clean. The room was very small which we had expected from the photos, although the problem I had was the bed seemed very small (apparently a standard double but it seemed smaller) and it was also really hard. We did get a second duvet the 2nd day so we could lay on that and make it a bit softer, and pulling the bed away from the sloping wall gave us a few extra inches of space. We were in room 501 which has 2 sloping walls, and a sloping wall in the bathroom and I couldn't stand up straight on one side of the bed as I'm quite tall (luckily my other half is short). The bathroom was very small but spotlessly clean and had a great rain head shower. The bedroom had a small wardrobe (a few extra hangars would have been handy) and good to see loads of sockets all over the place complete with USB connections. All the staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially the staff in the breakfast room, and the breakfast was a great start to the day too. Overall, a really nice hotel in a good location, and a good deal for the price, just be prepared for small rooms and small, hard beds.

Great find close to Earl’s Court
Great find three minutes walk from Earls Court tube. Small rooms as to be expected in central London but nicely decorated, comfortable bed and with air con. Breakfast staff are particularly friendly, the choice is basic but ample. I stayed in a double room on my own and the size was fine. It would be fine for two for one night but too small for two for longer than that. Bathroom was very clean. There’s plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
