2/10 Poor

Terrible Experience
When I checked in, I was told that my reservation was sold twice by the booking agency and consequently, THERE WAS NO ROOM AVAILABLE FOR ME! I was in a mad dash to find another room at 5:00pm after driving 3 hours to Glenwood Springs! Please refund my money immediately.

6/10 Good

4 star rate for a 2 star room.
The hotel has a great location and the common areas of the hotel are very nice. The advertised pictures are not representative what the rooms are actually like. The rates are overpriced for the quality and comfort of the rooms.

Save your money and stay elsewhere!
Two night stay for over $500…rooms are very dated and dumpy. No housekeeping unless you ask(!). There was a window AC, but had to keep the drapes open in order for it to cool the room, which let the bright light right outside our window shine on in. This place needs an entire renovation, which i guess they have begun. I have stayed in Motel 6’s which were nicer. The coffee store doesnt even sell pastries or any baked goods any longer! Nothing “grab and go”. And no in room coffee. The only plus is the lovely courtyard. Do not stay here until they are finished renovating..maybe then it would justify the high price but I wouldn’t hold your breath!

I was so disappointed, the room was tiny, worn down and extremely dated. When I spend $500.00 for two nights I’d like to be comfortable in my room.

Great public areas, disappointing room
The lobby and courtyard area were great. The historic charm was also great. But the room was pretty run down- ripped carpet, mildew smell, loud pipes that made noise all night. There were signs that some rooms were under renovation, but ours had definitely not been updated in a while. I can appreciate the historic preservation but not for the luxury hotel prices we paid. And there should be some basic things included like free coffee in the morning, for that price. We really enjoyed exploring and learning about the hotel, but didn’t want to be in the room at all.

Needs a full renovation
Yeah, it’s old, but paint peeling off the walls. Wiring hanging from the walls, rust around the showers. 1 star accommodations.

10/10 Exceptional

Stay at Hotel Colorado
This is a very old, historical hotel, which is it's main charm. I found it to be comfortable, clean and the staff were very pleasant, particularly the lady in the lounge, who remembered my order from the night before. Also very convenient to the hot springs. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Great location and lobby. The room..not so much.
The lobby of the hotel is amazing, as is the courtyard area. The room itself was pretty plain Jane. Have had nicer rooms in other less expensive hotels. Was given a handicap accessible room, which was fine except that the water from the no step shower pooled away from the drain. So after one shower, we were walking in water to get ready for the day. Water glasses were very dirty. Took one to the front desk, where the clerk said, "Eww!" and told me I could go to the bar and ask for other glasses.
