Excellent and outstanding service!
Good rooms, good beds and pillows. Excellent showers with very good water pressure. 6 large towels per day for 2 people, very good maid services, very clean. Have been visiting London yearly for 30+ years, past 10 years only 5* hotels, and this hotel has by far the best service! Very helpful and friendly doormen held the taxi doors for us on arrival and departure, always had a smile and a friendly greeting. They were always there to help with taxis, luggage, directions, and always very welcoming. Every staff member we met asked us if there was anything they could do for us, always with a smile. There was always staff on call on each floor. We got fresh fruit delivered (for free) every afternoon, to our room. Free water bottles every day, unlimited refills. We felt like the staff genuinely cared about us, we felt welcomed and most of all we felt seen and we felt like VIPs! The bar staff was also very friendly and attentive, great drinks and great atmosphere in the main bar. Lovely place for drinks or tea, and people watching. I have never experienced service at this level before. Compared with other 5* hotels including Claridges, this was outstanding and an experience like no other. We celebrated a Birthday during our stay and got free drinks and free cake delivered too our room, staff wishing happy Birthday and making it such a wonderful day. The rooms were completely quiet, no noise from outside and we could not hear anything from other rooms. Great location!

Great place to celebrate an anniversary
My husband and I had stayed at The Langham twenty years ago but not really had time to use the facilities. For our thirtieth wedding anniversary, we decided that it would be an ideal place to celebrate. It was a last minute booking and we were lucky enough to secure a room. We did let the hotel know it was a special occasion. We were able to leave our luggage and visit Apsley House before check in. At check in there was a slight wait for which the receptionist apologised. We were given ample information and to our surprise upgraded to a delux room. In the room we were greeted by a lovely card wishing us Happy Anniversary and a delicious chocolate cake. Over the next couple of days, we had handwritten cards checking that we were happy and informing us who to contact if we needed anything. Attention to detail was exceptional. The personal touches were much appreciated. We had booked breakfast each day. The first day we had the buffet and the second in Roux. Both were excellent with lots of choice and attentive staff. The leisure facilities were superb and we enjoyed time in the pool. Sadly, we didn't have time for any spa treatments. Both of us agreed that our stay was excellent value for a central London location, the service was first class. The staff were friendly and acknowledged us on each meeting. We will definitely be looking to stay again.

Great expectations: exceeded! Fabulous all around!
This was a special trip, my kids first time in London (5yr. and 2 yr. old) and I wanted them to fall in love with the city. So while I come to London a few times a year for business, I did my fair share of research for this trip. I wanted an historical property with plenty of character and surely the Langham delivered: with over 150 years of history, the property is beautifully preserved. Known as the first "Grand Hotel" of London Charles Dickens wrote about it, Princess Diana was a recurrent guest ... the hotel becomes a large part of the experience, a destination of its own. But what is beauty without function even more while traveling with small kids? well, the Langham also easily exceeded my expectations on the more practical side: (i) our executive room was the largest room I have had in London (king bed, plus roll away plus portable crib with room for two sofas, desks and play area). It was an impeccable sunny room with open views. And included kids robes and teddy bear slippers! (kids loved them). (ii) my now favorite executive lounge in Europe. The Perrier Jouet kept flowing and my kids had endless glasses of warm milk. Breakfast and afternoon happy hour were fantastic (oh the scones!). The team at the lounge was simply incredible, particularly warm to my kids and just ahead of our needs all the time. (iii) a great size pool for adult swimming as well as for kids splashing! (iv) great service all around (room service, front desk, bellman) Highly recommend!

5 Days in London _ great experience
This is a beautiful hotel, situated a walking distance of the major landmarks, museums, shopping, theaters, etc. The team at the hotel are extremely professional and helpful and welcoming; we arrived in the middle of a very hot day and getting out of the cab we got a cheerful welcome and cold water to drink. The check-in was a breeze, luggage was quickly sent to the rooms. There are so many touches in the room ( a ribbon tied box with stationary, wonderful books about London, the latest guides of what to do, see, go, etc.) The concierge team is great - very helpful and their recommendations were spot on. The food is really nice, impeccable service. We enjoyed the night cup in the downstairs salon accompanied with live music. Overall, excellent hotel.

Very good 8.0
London Experience
Staff at the Langham are wonderful. The gentleman working at the Concierge desk was FABULOUS. I wish I would have gotten his name - he was superb! Room was exceptional, difficult to find, but exceptional. The elevator was not working for our section of the hotel, we are walkers so we were not put out by this, however, due to our room being in a different section of the hotel (we were told there are a group of four hotels now that make up the Langham) it was hard to figure out which hallway to be in. The location was close enough to walk to Selfridges Department Store - which was a must see for me! The Bond Street station was also close enough to walk to and take to the London Eye. We highly recommend purchasing the fast pass for this - it is VERY BUSY. And we have heard taking it at night is spectacular. Sadly we were too late as it closed at 1800 the day we were there and we were not staying another night. We had a good ride though.
