Brand new LV wallet went missing in our room!
We booked Hotel Edouard7 for our first ever visit to Paris, the hotel itself is nice. Newly renovated, friendly & helpful front desk staff, accommodating, english speaking, and clean room. We picked this hotel because of the location and the ton of great reviews. I WOULD HAVE said we had a lovely stay at this hotel, except for the THEFT that happened in our room that tarnished my whole Paris experience! My brand new LV wallet, I brought my first day in Paris went MISSING in our hotel room. We purchased a few items, one of which was a small female wallet. Most stores in Paris gives the option to have your purchase delivered to your hotel, to avoid carrying around and safety I assume. The first night, when our delivery came, I opened every bag to check if the items delivered we're correct. Afterwards, I put each item back in the original packaging, stored in the hotel's open closet, and left it there untouched, or what I thought was untouched. Our room was only serviced 1 day out of the 3 nights we stayed. I didn't realized it was missing until we left for the airport. I called the hotel immediately, and been communicating with their hotel manager. I felt so violated & enraged, someone would have the audacity to go through my shopping bags and take what's not theirs. I would not have expected this from such a highly rated luxury hotel. The hotel manager has been helpful & handled this situation as professional as possible.

Would definitely recommend!
Overall, the Edouard VII was wonderful. The rooms are charmingly decorated and I loved having a view of the Opera House from my balcony. The restaurant was quite good, though the menu is not large. A bonus: They had a Thanksgiving dinner being served at the restaurant, which was a delicious twist on traditional Thanksgiving flavors. The women at the front desk were all wonderful, helpful, and gracious. My only issues: I had a flood in my room and the person sent up to help was not helpful. He didn't seem to understand that it was not my job to mop the floor. The management made it up to me, however. There are very few outlets in the rooms. When I mentioned this, I was given several multiple-head plug ins. The suite I was moved to did not have a closet, so there was a clothing rack in my bedroom, which was not ideal, and cupboard was very dark. An interior light would help make sure nothing gets left behind. The neighborhood is very convenient to the Louvre, the Decorative Arts Museum, and the Place Vendome, and of course the Opera. If you want a different boutique hotel in a central location, this is a great choice!

Exceptional 10.0
Our four night stay at the Hotel Edouard 7 was delightful from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out beginning with a complimentary room upgrade to a deluxe room with balcony and opera view - we were so pleased to receive this. The room was surprisingly spacious with a splendid view from the balcony, spotlessly clean on arrival and made up to a very high standard each day. The complimentary bottle of water each evening was gratefully received as the weather was extremely hot during our visit and we made full use of the in room tea and coffee making facilities. Despite the temperature outside, we found our room to be pleasantly cool as the air conditioning was amazingly efficient but terribly quiet. The staff were all extremely helpful, ensuring that my wheelchair using husband was comfortable throughout our stay, very keen to assist each time we entered or left the hotel, offering the use of the ramp at the front entrance and helping us to use the service elevator (the main lift was too small to accommodate the chair). Breakfast was plentiful and varied and the staff in the breakfast room were very obliging. The centrally located position made sight seeing easily accessible on foot (and wheels!). Altogether we would heartily recommend the hotel and hope to be able to return soon.

It was a dream!!
The Roissy bus from CDG dropped us off right near the hotel, and this was crucial as we got into Paris pretty late at night. A shirt walk later, we were able to check in at even that late of an hour (near midnight). Check in was smooth, and we got some good recommendations for restaurants open late. The man behind the desk recommended a great place, and we were glad we took his suggestion. He clearly knows what's up. This quaint hotel hides so many wonderful surprises. There is an overall aesthetic and decor that is both pleasing to the eye and very original: the hallway lights have bowler hat covers (reference to Magritte, or The Unbearable Lightness of Being, or not)! Everything is cozy, and the people working behind the desk are incredibly helpful, kind, and patient with tourists. Plus, there's a huge bathtub...that's VERY rare in a hotel (especially in Europe). The hotel is conveniently located near Metro and bus stops, and there are a ton of cafés, restaurants, stores, and bakeries in the area. Furthermore, it is within walking distance of the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and the best stores Paris has to offer. All in all, the hotel was the glue that bound the whole entire trip together.

Very good 8.0
Great hotel conveniently located in central Paris
The hotel is situated in close proximity to the Opera house and Lourve. The hotel is a boutique style hotel with classic Parisian feel and modern amenities. Upon arrival for our 5 day stay we were greeted by the hotel staff even before we could get out of the car. They quickly took our bags and ushered us into the lobby for check-in. Unfortunately we were 5 hours early for check-in but they assured us they would call us as soon as a room was available. They stowed our luggage and recommended several activities to keep us busy until our room was ready. The front desk manager showed us a city of Paris and described in great detail how to get to all the main sites. During our stay the staff remained as friendly and helpful as they had upon check-in. Our room was small but comfortable and very modern. The room service is 24 hours. But the food is basic hotel fare - nothing to rave about but if your starving it will do! I'd happily return to this hotel.
