Kings Courtyard Inn
Charming inn full of character in great location
Charleston is a beautiful little town and King Street is the perfect base to explore everything it has to offer. The King's Courtyard Inn is perfectly situated for walking to the waterfront park, the indoor market, the Saturday morning farmer's market, and all the lovely shops bars and restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel is set back from the main shopping street and the rooms surround a charming little open air courtyard (which also has an indoor dining room) where breakfast is served each morning, as well as the wine and cheese hour every evening. All of the hotels in Charleston are very pricey so I chose this one as it was the cheapest place I could find that was in such a central location. I felt that the price was good value for money as it included a lovely daily breakfast that could also be pre-ordered and brought to your room at no extra cost, plus the free wine and cheese happy hour each evening is a lovely touch. The room had character and was nice and spacious and clean. Only comment would be that it smelt a little damp and felt a little tired, but I think that's just a trade-off you have to accept in order to stay at a historic Inn that has managed to preserve its charming character

Kings Courtyard Inn
a charming hotel in a great location.
This was a wonderful place to stay in Old Charleston. We loved the free breakfast delivered to the room. Watch out for the extremely high tax - almost $100 - that gets added at checkout. Certainly not the hotel's fault, but a nasty surprise.

We will be staying here again! It was everything we expected and hoped it would be! It made our 10 year wedding anniversary memorable.
