Very Dissapointed
This hotel should be ashamed of itself, you ever feel second hand embarrassment for someone? We arrived to the hotel after traveling for 10 hours to attend our friends wedding that was happening at the hotel as well. When we arrived they couldnt find our confirmation, even after i handed them my printout and had hotels.com call them. They made us sit in the lobby for over 45 minutes while they looked at what happened to our reservation. All our weddi friends wanted us to join in all te festivities but we were kept hostage in the lobby. They ended up finding it, when i asked what the problem was, they laughed nervously and mumbled something. They kept repeating that it was neccessary for them to find the confirmation otherwise we would be charged for these nights. The morning of checkout they slid an invoice under our door at 6AM wanting $400 dollars, for 2 nights and as well as charged us 10 dollars for a water. Our room was never cleaned or taken care of the whole stay we were in there for. Noone had stepped foot in our room, yet they were convinced we took a water, there is no weight sensitive sensors, the waters were on a nightstand. As soon as i saw the water in my room from entering the room the first time, i jumped back from shock and stated im not even going to look at the water,i rather dehydrate in the sahara dessert vs paying 10 dollars for water. They charged anyway, even though we didnt touch them, along with 2 extra nights. Stay away

Very good 8.0
Beautiful hotel, management not so much.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and in a great neighborhood of DC! My only complaint would be the employees up front. They were extremely unorganized and communication seemed to be their biggest issue. My boyfriend and I both reserved a room for a night with our own cards and we made this clear as soon as we checked in (as well as prior to checking in) and after 15 minutes of waiting for us to get situated, we were under the impression that we were all squared away. The next day, we didn't have our room cleaned and our key cards stopped working. We went down to see what may have gone wrong and their front desk told us no one properly adjusted the room reservation as promised. This was a little frustrating because we had to wait another 20 minutes the second day- which made us late for our brunch plans, and the manager who came to help was extremely unfriendly and short with us when we simply asked what went wrong with the reservation. I was shocked considering how much we paid for the hotel and it being at a 4.5 star rating. Saturday evening when we got back to the hotel, our keys-again, weren't working and the room was never cleaned. This must be due to miscommunication, again- very upsetting considering how beautiful the hotel is. I must say, I was not very pleased with the front desk and manager on duty Saturday, December 8th.

Lobby was beautiful & room was very nice. It was enjoyable to come back to after a long day of touring the city. We used Uber to get to the start of the site seeing spots, i.e. White House, US Capital & museums which averaged $9-$12 one way from hotel depending on time of day & never had to wait long for one to come (under 5 min). The indoor pool is in a fitness center so it was mainly used as a lap pool so our 10 yr old did not use the pool since he said he gets enough laps in on his swim team - ha! They had a Starbucks directly across the street, however, they also offered complimentary coffee in the mornings in the lobby by the Juniper restaurant. We stayed a week so we loaded up on drinks & snacks at a Trader Joes less than 2 blocks away. They also had good restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

6 Women would happily March back to the Fairmont!
I cannot speak more highly of the Fairmont D.C., Georgetown during our stay last weekend. The professional and friendly service began with the phone conversations I had in advance of our visit (regarding any street closures around the hotel due to the Women's March, potential early check-in, valet parking) and continued during our actual stay. EVERYBODY we encountered including the bellman and valet, the front desk staff, the concierge, the wait staff in the restaurant and the housekeeping staff was pleasant, courteous and helpful. It was particularly impressive that members of the management team were roaming the lobby to greet and speak with guests. The hotel is new, the rooms very nicely decorated, the bathrooms very clean and nice. The lobby area is a pleasant place to visit. The location is great and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants and yet in a quiet area. This hotel stay set the tone for a fantastic experience at the Women's March which was handled with such warmth and welcome by the city. Kudos to all. I will definitely return to the Fairmont Washington D.C. Georgetown and recommend it to others.

Five stars for the Fairmont!
I was very impressed with the level of service and care. We had to switch rooms the second night and they were very accommodating (letting us leave stuff in room until other one ready and they transferred all our luggage while we were at a show). Love the 1pm check out time! The hotel is well managed, friendly staff, nice rooms, pretty lobby, great breakfast buffet which was included in our rate. The location is handy, safe and clean.
