Great rooms. Amazing service. One issue is there are no restaurants or room service open.
This was a business trip. However, the staff at The Carlyle made the trip really comfortable. I appreciate the help with all. Looking forward to our next trip to NYC and hope to be able to stay at The Carlyle again.
Worth every penny! They treat you like royalty.
Everything was great..just need a makeup mirror in the bathroom!
The hotel was very nice. Everyone was kind and helpful
My husband has always wanted to stay at the Carlyle so as a birthday treat I booked us a night. I received an unusually low rate on hotels.com so I was a little skeptical about the location of the room. I joked that we would be next to the boiler room in the basement LOL! We had just the opposite! The room, large by NYC standards, was on the 21st floor with 2 balconies showcasing breath taking views of Manhattan. The room was beautifully appointed with antique furnishings and a romantic 4 poster bed. The service was beyond! There were balloons, a hand written card and a gorgeous birthday cake (with gold leafing!) delivered to the room. From check in to check out and everything in between was first class. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant and drinks at Beleman's Bar (one of the best in NYC!) Everything was absolutely perfect. They even have white gloved elevator operators, all so friendly and full of information. This hotel hearkens back to days of yore, top notch service done with ease and no pretentiousness at all! I have been to dozens of hotels in NYC over the years and this by far was the best experience I've ever had. This is now my new favorite, you will not regret staying here.
