Well located for the charms of Amsterdam
Great location for Amsterdam, though the road outside is under repair. Canal facing hotel 10 mins walk from the best parts of Amsterdam. Room was not the biggest but considering the location it could be overlooked. I got the room at a good price last minute. Reception staff were friendly. Room comfort was OK but I guess one stays very little time in the room when in Amsterdam. I would definitely go for this hotel again and would recommend others to use.

Great Hotel just one gripe but it’s not a big one
The hotel was very nice and friendly The rooms are very small bit of it’s just a base to see the sites etc it’s more than adequate. I wouldn’t probably book a deluxe room next time. One slight gripe, we requested two twin rooms which on arrival one room was but the other was a double. We spoke to reception and they said it was two singles with a topper over it so housekeeping could remove it and make it two singles. It was just slightly annoying that the request for a twin had been in several weeks and it hadn’t been changed for arrival and we arrived after 6pm. But to be fair they did change it very quickly and it didn’t spoil the stay at all. Staff we’re very friendly and welcoming and the hotel was very clean and in a very good location. Lots of building work going on on the roads around Amsterdam, hope it’s finished soon. But again it didn’t detract from a great holiday and beautiful city.

A good place to stay
There is lots good about this hotel. It’s centrally located, off Rembrandtplein. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast buffet is varied and plentiful. My room was fine, with adequate space - except the wardrobe door with the full length mirror wouldn’t open all the way, making the mirror useless. Bathroom was clean. Occasionally there was what seemed to be a drainage smell issue but it cleared each time with the air con on. Housekeeping wasn’t perfect, eg unemptied bin. Brasserie next door was excellent. I've been before and I’d go again.

Great Central Hotel
Good hotel in a central area. Room was quite small but was clean. Good restaurant for dinner is on the side of the hotel. Bathroom is a good size but could do with more surfaces to put toiletries on, and perhaps a couple more hooks. The shower didn't drain properly so I suspect the plug hole needs cleaning out. As the room was small, it got quite warm but the air con was very efficient. Would stay here again.
