Great lobby and pub
The lobby always smells so good. It gives the hotel a good vibe. It has a little bar area for drink/snacks. There’s also a pub on the first floor which is great for drinks and food-the home made hummus with pita is extremely good and cheap-around £4. We had a twin room and it was comfortable. There was enough storage area for a 7 week stay. There was also a kettle and they replenished a couple of tea bags per day. The downsides were there was no fridge which should really be standard in all rooms. My stay was longer that average (7 days) and I would have liked a fridge to put yoghurt and water. Also, they should consider that people have health needs. My mum is diabetic and needs to keep her medicine cold.. another downside was the cleanliness. It wasn’t as clean as it should have been, which was strange as you hear the cleaners non stop banging first thing in the morning so you’d think they were thorough..! The area was good. The nearest tube is West Brompton which is on the District (Wimbledon) Line. On one end (to the right of the hotel) there’s Earls Court area with shops, coffee shops etc. To the left you have North End Road area which is a little grimier. There’s a couple of upscale pub/restaurants to the right of the hotel which are great. We ate at The Lilly Langtry which had amazing food. There’s a huge metropolitan police building a couple of blocks down so I’m guessing that equates to a safer area..? All in all a good stay.

Basic hotel with staff that need to offer service
Very basic hotel, sort the reception out get back behind the reception and stop trying g to be a pretentious contemporary hotel when you are clearly a basic hotel. Staff need to add a little extra, a smile they do the job but don't look like they are enjoying it. Breakfast is a bit chaotic almost like a school canteen, they will always be full as they are a large hotel, a conference centre attached. But no need to treat everyone like cattle. Rooms are basic, beds and very uncomfortable, needed the windows open so at the back of the hotel you get the Heathrow flight path at the front on the lower floors you get road noise. All in all if you are looking for a basic hotel, not cheap and prepared for service without a smile then this is for you, tourists are shoehorned in and as they are stopping only for one or w nights that why they dont are. Accor group sort it out as its not difficult to make a stay comfortable in hotel of that size the last time I stopped here, 7 years ago it was pretty good. Looks like the model has changed ship them in and ship them out without much care. Wont be running back to stay .

Saved by the breakfast
So this was booked purely because it was the cheapest in the area that we needed but for £72 for the night I was still disappointed. As you enter the hotel the foyer is absolutely beautiful and has clearly had work done, the lifts were nice also but we got to our room and could not have been less impressed. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked, the shower was filthy, the room itself was baking hot but the only thing we could do about that was open a window (with a view of the roof and a load of generators) which let in so much noise it was unreal and the bed was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on the floor, the pillows were as thin as paper which meant that we had to use our coats and jumpers to bulk them up. All in all the actual stay itself was bloody awful and the only thing that redeemed the hotel was the breakfast which was reasonably priced for the selection available.

Ignored my 'do not disturb' sign. Otherwise good.
Very clean, had everything I needed, reception staff were wonderful, caring and helpful etc. It was lovely and comfortable and very quiet overnight, but there was some incredibly loud drilling in the morning! The main thing that really irritated me is the fact that despite putting the 'do not disturb' sign on my door, someone still came in waking me up 4 times in the morning to clean my room. I have a very demanding job working on Pacific time so I don't go to bed until 5am, yet got woken up 4 times between 9 and 12 even though I had the sign and even though I told them the first time they did it. I also arranged to have a late checkout time of 2pm but this didn't seem to get communicated to the maids either as they still kept coming in trying to turf me out. Was very tired for work today, and annoyed to find my DND sign on the floor in my room when I got up. Ignored AND discarded. (Definitely 100% put it on my door, it's not me going crazy- I had a witness!) So cheers maids!

Budget Hotel
Somehow, this hotel managed to make the whole experience "just adequate" -- not spectacular, but not enough to really dislike it. It's like it is purposely made to be mid-range. It's the epitome of "budget traveler hotel". The hotel was definitely a refurbished hotel - an older chain that ibis purchased and slightly updated. The lobby was large and pleasant, and the elevators are surprisingly modern. The rooms, however, are definitely dated, and seemed to be a bit dim and a bit too large. The bathrooms were then somehow very clean and updated. We found some small stains on the pillow cases of the extra pillows, but I assume that's because it hasn't been used in a while. The provided bedding was very thin, and I wish they had extra blankets. I called the front desk to get some extra blankets from me and gf, but no answer. I had to go down to the front desk to ask them to send it up. The staff seemed a bit annoyed and disengaged, but maybe that's expected.
