really poor
The room was really poor. Hole in the curtains. Hole on the lamp shade. Walls were marked. Shower was dared. Hair dryer was older than me. Not very impressed.

Shopping trip
My friend and I went to Dublin for a few days of rest and relaxation. We found the hotel in a great central position to shopping area, St Steven's Green, loads of places to go all within easy walking distance. The staff at the hotel where all very helpful from the time we arrived until our departure.

Great location, but needs a good clean!!
First night was awful - we were placed on smoking floor and room smelled strongly, as neither of us smoked this was really off-putting. We asked to change rooms and staff were lovely and apologetic but no non-smoking rooms were available until the next night. When we turned on a lamp the fuse blew (apparently this happens often!) and we had to get the porter to change the bulb and get the fuse flipped back on. I had opened the window for the smell and then the window wouldn't close again so we were cold later in the evening. The furniture and curtains were dirty and bathroom mouldy - this was just unnecessary and made me angry that we had paid to stay there! There were also bits of the decor that were damaged and the room just looked a bit run down. The second night was much better and room smelled much cleaner and furniture and general standard of the room seemed better. This was much more acceptable to us - we weren't looking for anything fancy just something clean and functional! I could not fault the location which was absolutely perfect and it is that and the staff which were the nicest parts of our stay here. I would recommend that you stay in a non-smoking room if you do choose this hotel. In a nutshell the staff were absolutely amazing and location brilliant but the hotel rooms need a face lift and a good clean!

Overnight stay on business, Ive stayed here many times before a couple of years ago, always thought how nice it was but this time I did notice that it is in need of a refurb. Room was clean but the hotel is a bit tired looking, breakfast wasn't worth the money. On a positive the hotel is in a fantastic area for getting around Dublin lots of bars & restaurants in the vicinity so I will stay here again but just no breakfast
