We've used this hotel a number of times. It has recently been refurbished very tastefully. Our room though small was very comfortable and came with a very large bed. The breakfast was good and overall service was excellent. It is very convenient for the town centre.

Fair 4.0
Hotel has potential, service needs improvement.
My friend and I booked a one-night stay at Bryghia Hotel during the winter holidays. We were excited to stay at the hotel because it had an 8.8 rating. After staying at the hotel, I am disappointed to report that the hotel is closer to a 7.5 and should be priced accordingly. On the positive side, the lobby is quaint, the rooms are average size, and the hotel is clean. However, breakfast is not included and there are no snacks or items for purchase. The hotel is closer to a bed and breakfast and not a place I would spend a prolonged period of time - if you're looking for a place to unload your luggage and go to see the city, then this is a good spot. What caused this review to be so low is that the service was subpar. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, the front desk staff member was rude and condescending. He did not help with our luggage, was dismissive of our requests and inquires, pressured us to make an instant decision as to whether we wanted to purchase breakfast for the next morning, and did not pick up our calls to the front desk as he appeared to be on non-work related calls. The one redeeming factor was that the staff member's father, who also worked at the hotel, who was very kind and accommodating. We think this hotel has a lot of potential if it dramatically improves its customer service and offers other small benefits such as included breakfast or snacks for purchase. Otherwise, we think the hotel needs to reduce its price to be valued accordingly.

Family twixmas break
Booked 3 rooms for a family break as obtained reasonable rate. Hotel staff all very welcoming and friendly. Hotel booked a dinner reservation for us and a taxi to the station on departure. Rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet at night. Location is five minute walk from main square so easy to get to centre. Breakfast was included in our rate and although not lavish, offered good coffee and was sufficient. Items were regularly replenished. If you are looking for friendly stay near to centre you won’t be disappointed.

Lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff
Lovely hotel, very comfortable, in a great location for walking into the centre and very helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast had a limited choice (boiled egg, 2 cereals, a couple of meats and cheeses, yoghurt, bread) but what’s was there was nice and as it was a buffet you could return for more. Overall great hotel, would definitely stay again.
