Booked this hotel based on high rating reviews and was expecting more. Parking was limited as work was being done on about 1/3 of front lot. Door to room was old and worn. Bath tub was old, could see dirt/stains in the tile. Room was small. Not worth the price paid

Misleading photos
The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The location was great for trips to the aquarium and zoo. The linens were clean and comfortable, however, when we moved an ottoman in the room we found trash from the people before us and trash between the bed and the wall. We noticed that the room seemed smaller and everything in general more run down than the pictures on hotels.com. Come to find out, it had just recently become a Holiday Inn Express and they were using stock photos. To me, that is false advertising as my choice of hotel is based at least partially on what I see in those photos, and there should be a disclaimer about this until they get pictures done. Had we known, we wouldn’t have chosen it. Also, they were allowing up to 18 people to sign up for pool time at once, which was far too many for their small pool. We had to stay in the corners and move about in a tiny space to observe Covid protocol, which was so boring we left before our hour was up. It should be no more than 8-10 people at once. Our stay was adequate and comfortable, but definitely not what we were expecting. The front desk staff were really great, though. No complaints about service.

Before i made myreservation i called the hotel directly and made sure they had a pool that was open bc thats why we wanted to stay. They said yes. Qhen we checked in they told us how qe had to reserve pool time and no one told us that bc honestly yalls hotel isnt any nicer than the cheaper ones and if yall would have been upfront about that i would habe reserved a dofferent hotel. So we got there and none pf us could swim that night or the next day. And everyone there sas very rude about it. It will make us rethink ever staying with yall. We are incjatpmer service
