Twice I request a taxi that took card since I was traveling their from another country for a few days on my way to my next destination. I asked the star multiple times when they booked the taxi to ask if they took card. They ensured me that they did. Upon getting to my destination the cab driver informed me that he didn’t take card. This happened twice. I had to pay in my currency and was sorely ripped off. I didn’t have internet access in the taxi so I couldn’t convert the difference until I arrived at my destination. I let the front desk know when I returned the first time it happened and the second time. They didn’t seemed concerned one bit.

Poor 2.0
Nope
First of all the air conditioning in the room was broken so it was incredibly hot. I had to phone down to the reception 3 times to ask them to take a look (each time I was told someone will be with you shortly, then no show).. eventually Maintenance turned up and pressed the "temperature down" button (funnily enough, I'd already tried that one!) then informed me it was broken and they'd need to change rooms. This never happened, I was simply told twice they were looking for another room for me, in the end I gave up waiting and went out. The next morning, housekeeping knocked on my door to clean the room at 7:30, 8:00 and 8:30 - each time saying "sorry, we'll come back later" - check out isn't until 11am however they are obviously keen to turf people out early.. I then left to get breakfast and was informed that despite paying £200, I didn't have breakfast included and they refused to let me have it despite all the issues above. Finally, they refused to give an invoice which I needed for expenses purposes and said I needed to contact the third party I booked through.. this is the first time in hundreds of nights away booked through third parties I have been told this. I asked to speak to a manager about my overall disappointing stay, was informed they weren't available so they took my details and expectedly I have had zero contact. A half decent hotel with poor maintenance and absolutely shocking customer service

Exceptional 10.0
Quiet location, close to a small shopping mall and the underground; small room which is normal for London; staff were great; business center OK though lighting was poor and computers needed updating. I was there on a research trip and all the staff really went above and beyond to help out in all sorts of ways. Keycard needed to access elevators, which as a woman travelling alone I really appreciated! Also lots of Ubers in the area!

Brilliant...but...
I stayed here when I took my niece to go to the Adele concert. Everything was great but two things let this experience down: 1) there were hotel housekeeping staff using the same small lifts the customers have to - but they were 3 members in the lift and they were not being very professional and when the lift didn't work - they pressed all the buttons, then when the doors finally opened they just ran out and went up the stairs! If I was on my own I would have found it all quite funny - but less so with a 10y/o who thought we were stuck in the lift!! 2) The staff running the breakfast didn't seem to have a clue (or where just overwhelmed) - took ages for me to be offered some coffee and then minutes after it was poured, and I stepped away from the table to get something the same lady swooped in and took away my coffee!! Again - not a big deal as such - but when you have an excited adolecent wanting to talk about how awesome Adele was (and she was!!) then you need coffee! The reception staff were superb & helpful! Overall I would still stay here again on my own - or if it was just grown ups.

Functional convenient accommodation.
A single night stay. Positives: Easy to get to, just off the A406 and within reasonable distance to the West End. Secure parking for the car at a reasonable price. Not so positive: Very small room, although fairly well furnished. Comfortable rather than luxurious. Conclusion: OK for a night's stay, especially if travelling in your own car. Perhaps a shade pricey for what you get but hey! This is London.
